A player having Stand Firm dodges to the square where the ball is but failes the dodgeroll. He does not fall over but, as I recall his actions end immidiatly. Am I correct that he therefore cannot pick up the ball but that it scatters?

It dosent scatter since he never reach the square where the ball rests.

Stand Firm players who fail their dodge remain in the square they started from. So you never get to the ball.

Then we always played it wrong in our league. If we fail a dodge roll we stop in the square we are going to. Thanks. This will cause some disturbence in my league!

Failing a dodge, means you fall over in the square dodged to normally, but Stand firm overides this. If you didn't have/or used Stand Firm then you'd still fall in the square dodged too

That's old 3rd edition that is... The skill changed in LRB; it became a trait and from now on you failing a dodge means you stay in your square.

Well, then I've got a uge meeting coming up trying to convince the guys to stick to all the new rules. Hopefully the'll go for it, but it means adjusting. Poor oldies.

Shouldn't this be in blue then?? Cause it's a change to the 3rd edition?

just a question.
Stand firm thrower dodges for a pass.
Needs stand firm not to fall
Turn over?? (he didn't complete the action)

I would say no...
I would say that if you declare a pass action you don't HAVE to pass the ball.... IMO
Though I haven't checked the letter of the rules
I had a stand firm thrower in my 3rd ed human team - *sigh* those were the days

I think you'll find that the coloured passages are used to highlight the last series of changes, so in the current version the red coloured passages refer to the 2002 rules review.
