Suppose you have 8 players in the dugout, do you have to put them all on the field, or can you field only 7 for the kickoff (for example).

You only have to field 3 on the LOS. It was covered in the last BRRC review - check on Galak's www.midgardbb.com site.

I say you must field as many as you can up to 11. That's what I'll always think.

The rules have been interpreted by the BBRC to mean that you only have to field 3 (if you can).

I think it's total bull****! And I don't mean bear!

I agree with snots here, its crap when you are only fielding only 3 players!!! Have you ever seen a sport where a coach could field all his players and he fields only 3!!!!????? Never heard of such a sport and what will the fans think about there favorite team?? I would say you at least lose a FF!!!! Well this is what I think about fielding only 3 players!!

You only have to field minimum 3 players in te LOS. The rest can stay in the dugout even if you have 16 players who can play.

Again, another rule designed to save the leafeaters from anihilation....

Really sucks when a elfy team gives you the ball to open the game and puts three guys on the LOS and says..."Have at it"

A real man would put all 8 on the field ;)

This is one of the few things we've house-ruled from the LRB.

I find it funny that people assume you would have to field more people. No other sport (to my knowledge) requires a team to have people on the pitch.

Personally I think you should be able to field scrub players who then will stay with the team, but I don't like the idea of teams getting destoyed past the point of playability.

yer with my skaven team i often keep my main thrower (who is av6 cause of aging) off the pitch if i am short of players

the less players you have the eaiser it gets for your opponent to get 2 dice blocks in and injure even more teams

the only problem that it has caused is that one turners are almost impossable to get rid of

This is probably one of the rulings made by the BBRC that go most against the spirit of the game and that were most hated by coaches everywhere.

Whatever happened to Jervis' "the sacred number of Nuffle", and why change such a good and balancing rule?

the minimum is 3, but if you can't there is no problem...
Well, i still dont know how the kick off can be done but there is no problem.
The ref should do it himself.
Our house rules say: put the maximum of your players on the pitch (they are not freaks!)

Maybe it's viable to try to protect your team but I haven't seen any sports team saying: no this drive we'll just start with fewer players (but before you scream: i know the discrepancy btw. real life vs. game mechanics).
Still, if you can't take the beating, change races, and if you don't want the beating concede.

BTW I'm in favour to let the conceding team keep it's winnings, the curretn rule is too harsh and if you get the crap beaten out of you and you conced you do not have even the money to fill your roster with linemen afterwards (the lost MVP and FF are enough).
