Question on the Blitz and rolling for injury

When making a blitz action, when do you roll for the injury? We always used to play that you rolled the injury (and scattered the ball) after you had decided how to spend the rest of your movement. That way the body was still in the way and you would have to go around the prone player.

After getting a player with Piling On, though, our way no longer works. I need to know what the armor roll is to know if I'm going to do the hammer drop on him or not, thus ending my movement.

What is the correct way of resolving the blitz action? Re-reading the rules it looks like we played wrong all along. The LRB states, "The player may carry on moving after the effects of the block have been worked out if he has any squares of movement left." I don't know where we got our original interpretation. Does anyone else play it that way?

No, we play it currently as:
-Block is made
-Knocked down opponent is placed in one to the three squares
-Blitzing player chooses to follow up into the square (if they wish to)
-Armor/Injury are rolled
-Ball scatters
-Blitzing player may continue movement (if any)

The way Agentrock described is also the way we do it. I do believe this is the general way that most people go about the sequence of events.

I totally agree with Agentrock.
Do the block with all its effects (following up, armor / injury roll) and then carry on moving substrating 1 point MA for the block.

SVBBL and EAGBBL agree with Agentrock.

Yeah. That's the way I read it too. I don't know where we came up with that other translation. Thanks everyone.
