Do you, if you throw a long bomb on Ag3, no modifiers, fumble on a roll of 1, 2 and 3 ?

Or just 1 ??

As an interesting side note, the guys I play with don't think that range should be a factor in fumbling. That's fine. It works both ways right? Anyway, he threw a quick pass with Wood Elves. Threw a 2 in 1 tackle zone. -1 for the TZ, +1 for the Quickie. AG4, it's just inaccurate, right. Nope, the +1 for the quick pass doesn't come into play, -1 for the TZ makes it a 1. The Elf fumbled on the 2. Screw you pointy eared freak.

To my friend's credit, he took it very well.

OK

Now a TTM by my treeman. AG1, as far as he can go. But due to AG 1 he'll fumble on anything but a 6 right ??

As far as he can go is a long pass (-2 modifier cause of TTM). If he's not in any tacklezones, then he will only fumble on a 1-3. 4-5 will be inaccurate, and a 6 will always be accurate.
Why? Well look at this:
1 - 2 = -1 (1 fumble)
2 - 2 = 0 (1 fumble)
3 - 2 = 1 (1 fumble)
4 - 2 = 2 inaccurate
5 - 2 = 3 inaccurate
6 always succeeds

i have always played that a fumble only occurs on a roll of a 1.

It just doesn't seem to make sense that fumbles are more frequent than an inaccurate pass.

I am likely to get shouted at now!

I could go with...

... a fumble only on a "1"....

But that elf getting blitzed and fumbling on a "2"...
That should be on a classic BB Bloopers Reel!

It makes no sense that you are more likely to fumble on a long Bomb than on a Quick pass. The chance taht you will drop the ball is the same.
Therefor range modifiers should not count against making a fumble.
But if you have two big ugly smelly orcs breathing down your neck the pass is mor difficult and therefor should tacklezone modifiers count when deciding if you fumble or not.

Have a nice day :smoking:

I no longer care whether range modifiers count or not. It's been argued into the dirt and it affects the game not one bit either way, so long as it's the same for everyone. I would prefer to have all modifiers affect the fumble just for simplicity sake. That way a 1 is a 1 is a 1, and thus, a fumble. If you play otherwise, you have one number for the pass and, possibly, a different one in regards to the fumble. That, in my book, is a bad thing and can lead to problems. Keep on your toes if you play that range modifiers don't affect the fumble.

I would argue that all 1's, also the modified ones should be a fumble.

If you have negative modifiers due to TZ'z it's plain obvious: someone was pulling at your arm.

Just see the modifiers for range as trying harder and thus making mistakes easier

The problem is if range don't affect fumbles it would be very hard for slow team to close on the ball.... as any "closed" player with the ball could throw a long bomb, even if unacurate...

I guess.... :o
