Picking up is a free action, he can still pass. Basically u just cant blitz and pass in the same action.

Remember that handoff is also an action, so you can't combine:
hand off, pass, blitz, block.

Also, remember that you must declare what action you intend to use before you begin moving the player. But that said, picking up the ball does NOT end your action. It is a reaction to you entering the square containing the ball, not an action in and of itself. That means that you can pick up the ball during any type of action EXCEPT a block.

Including a foul?! Hmmm, what happens to the ball if you get ejected?

(come to think of it, what happens to a ball carrier that's stupid enough to foul someone and gets ejected?!!)

If you get ejected while carrying the ball, it scatters one square and you suffer a turnover (naturally, you'd also be suffering one due to the ejection.)
