Blood Lust & Hypnotic Gaze

I started a Vamp team in our open system league and have come across a weird situation.

If you fail Bloodlust, but successfully bite a thrall on your team and happen to be beside an opponents player. Are you allowed to Hypnotic Gaze them?

I initally thought yes, but an opposing coach made the arguement that once I moved and bit a player, that Vamps turn was done and he cannot do anything else. He is also not capable to do the Hypnoyc Gaze before the Blood lust bite because he MUST do the Blood lust bite after his movement has ended.

I think he is wrong but I will see if I am correct.

at the end of your movement, you are allowed to try and hypno gaze an opponent. It doesn't matter if that movement was declared a move action or if it was declared another type of action and Bloodlust changed it to a move action.

The hypnotic gaze is part of the move action, the bloodlust bite occurs when the move action is complete.

If this tactic weren't allowed, I think vamps would be Tier 3, and much less fun to play.

So technically you can, but should do so before a suck.

Correct ... you Gaze as the final part of your Move Action and then roll for the Bite.

This also means if you are going to turnover and allow the Vampire to leave the pitch, you can still gaze an opponent (which could be very tactical at times) and then the Vampire would leave the pitch for failing to bite a Thrall.

That is basically what my thought was on the combination.

Although I never thought of using hypnotic gaze even if you are unable to bite someone. That could be an interesting tactic in dire situations.
