Use of RR's in "blitz" on the kickoff

Post by franck_le_grand »

Can I use a team RR, during "blitz" on the kickoff table?
The rules says that you can only use re-rolls during your own turn, but since you don't move the turnmarker, does it counts as a team turn, ie. may you use RR?

Heh. Easy one. Yes you can.
It's a bonus team turn, i.e. it's still a team turn.

though i think it would be a lot more interesting if you couldn't... that skull block is just the linemen picking up the blitz...

Thanks, but I do agree with Lucien. It would be alot more fun if you could'nt. Don't you just hate when the dices comes up with a 10 on the kickoff?
It's almost a certain TD with a little luck, for the player blitzing. If no RR were alowed the the chances for a touchdown would be slightly lowered.

Certain TD? Much less now than before. All you can do now is hope for a lucky scatter and get a player under it, as opposed to picking it up and passing it etc. under the old rules.

Yeah, you might be right. But you can make some TZ's and it can very well f*ck up your plans about how to score that TD, right?

Yep, there's not much doubt that a blitz'll put paid to your carefully planned offensive drive. Not sure that's such a bad thing though, a bit of improvisaton necessary. Sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet, I suffered 3 in my last game! :o

Three? That is bad! I had two against me in a practice match for the MBBL with Christer. He beat me 4-2 and the Blitzes! certainly had something to do with it.

Cheers,
Martyn
