Pushing back into players who can Stand Firm or Side Step

Here's a question that has just sprung into my warped mind.

Suppose we have the following situation:

S..
SBA
S..

where S denotes a player with Stand Firm, B denotes a player without Stand Firm, and A is a player blocking. Suppose A gets a pushback result when he blocks B. What happens? The stand firm guys presumably don't move - so does B actually stay where he is?

What happens if the S players have Side Step instead. Could B be pushed back and the appropriate side step guy be placed wherever his coach wanted him?

Cheers,
Martyn

If all the S players had Stand Firm then no push back occurs ... its as if B had Stand Firm himself.

If all the S players had Side Step then B could be pushed back and the S player displaced would choose any empty adjancent square to his to move into.

IE ... you had it right.

OK, thanks Galak - so far so good.

Suppose the S players are actually on the same side as player A. Could the coach choose not to use the Stand Firm skill and to push player B back (moving one of the S players at the same time, of course)?

My guess is yes - since you don't have to use a skill just because you've got it.

Isn't Frenzy an exception to that? I mean, don't you HAVE to Frenzy the guy if he's pushed back ?

Yes, because Frenzy is a trait. I think.
Logically then that would also affect Stand Firm, but not Sidestep.
