Hmm i thought such a FAQ is in the works ? well you are right that would be a very good measure.

I would like to point out that, for non-native english speakers it's difficult not to screw up translation and interpretation. And i have the tendency to hang on bits that i understand completely, like "all of the normal rules are used"

Don't most people go with their gut reaction on these type of things and be fair and reasonable? I would never had thought of gfi on a pass block. I don't think there will ever be a text which cannot be interpreted differently. You have got to use common sense and be consistent.
Pass block is one of my favourite skills, esp with my DE. The no. of times I intercept is quite high, well worth it.
