The win % that I was looking for wouldn't be a way to rank teams for stuff. It would be a way to see the win percentage :)

We have points and Elo Rating for the rankings. I feel strongly that the % should be shown with draws as half a win as otherwise a team that ties 10 games has the same win % as a team that losses 10 games.

it also shows a team with 10 draws the same as a team with 5 wins and 5 losses though

both have a 50% win ratio but the team that drew 10 games hasn't actually won any and imo shouldn't be equal

We are doing it like this:

More than 8 players and we have to decide who can go through a cup tournee.

current TV with no deductions for players missing a match, divided by 1000 (this gives a smaller number).

This TV/1000 number is then divided by the number of wins. This provides a Leader Board Rating number, smaller the better.

Optional balance tool: Anyone in the top 8 (depending on league size) cannot challenge and therefore can only play games when challenged. Other coaches can only play other teams once, this may begin challenges against the top 8. As soon as a coach gets into the top 8 apply the rule and those shunted out of the top 8 are free to challenge.

When playing for a trophy, have a lock down rule, that all monies must be spent to improve the team before the tournee starts, this may force some top 8 players out by default. And that no money can be spent on permanent additions to team during the tournee but inducements are allowed.
