Ok, so here's what happened.
The lads and I were playing last night and we are all still really new to this, and we were teaching a new guy the basic rules of the game and running through a practice game. we ran into a situation that we didn't know how to resolve, so we just did a basic 1-3 your way, 4-6 my way deal and decided to find out from some experienced people how they handle it. Here's what happened:
Human player declares a blitz and moves towards an orc lineman. The square that the human ends up in directly beside the lineman also contains the ball. Now, the blitzer still has 4 MV left, but the question was, since you HAVE to attempt to pick up the ball if you enter the square under your own volition, would you attempt the pick up first, which if dropped would cause a turnover immediately, or would you attempt the block on the blitz first, then assuming you were successful and didn't fall down, attempt the pick up and then move on.
Basically, is there a specific order you have to do the actions in, or is it just "Do them however so long as you do them".
Thanks for any help!
Cheers!

You move into the square next to the player to be blitzed, then you pay a point of movement for the square the blitz target is in to Blitz him. Since you moved into the square with the ball first you fully resolve that before continuing with your move. If you cause a turnover trying to pick up the ball then your turn ends before you can try to blitz.

You need to pick up the ball first.
If you needed to Go For It to make then blitz then you'd make the pick up, make the GFI then make the blitz.
