There are many ways of stripping your miniatures and repaint them.

But does anyone know how to just REBASE them?
How do you remove awful basing? Preferably without removing the whole base or the paint on the miniature?
Any ideas or tips?

If PVA was used, a soak in water might reactivate it. Freezing superglue apparently makes it more brittle and easier to remove. Either way you might still have to be quite aggressive with a blade, so I'd cover the model in something like blu tack to protect it from slippage.

Is there are a particular reason why you don't want to destroy the base itself? Because simply cutting the base off with some sprue snips is likely going to be the easiest solution and will minimise the chances of you damaging the paint job.

This is about an army, not just a Blood Bowl team.
Think of like 200+ minis to replace the base for.
Most of them plastic minis glued to their base.

Oh damn Regash. That's one hell of a job to take up. If the first layer for the base is sand, then an x-acto knife will help. I know I cut the sand off of some 150+ Skaven a few years ago to rebase them. It did involve a lot of work

Hopefully it was stuck with PVA, as soaking in water did reactivate it for me. Though it was only primed in my case. If it works, keep it wet until fully cleaned though as it does turn rock hard again when dry.

Unless the basing is stuck on with PVA glue (in which case, soaking them in water should remove the basing), I still think the quickest and easiest solution would be to rebase completely. Impact! Miniatures sell 25mm bases for a cheap price.

I told my friend to try and soak them in water.
Since the bases seem to be drowned in static grass, chances are high PVA glue has been used.

If it doesn't work, he'll have to cut them off their base and buy new bases, don't have to do it in one go.
