This is one of the 6 Blood Bowl teams that my brother and I have finished converting and painting.

This Blood Bowl team has been made using Warhammer Fantasy Dwarf miniatures of the 5th, 6th and 7th Editions of Warhammer Fantasy.

I would put only the links to the rest of the pictures to avoid large upload times. If the moderators think that there wouldn't be any problem showing all the images I'll edit the post and change it.

The team players are:
- 2 Dwarf Blitzers made with 6th edition dwarfs, a mix of Green Stuff and A+B white Modelling Putty and two wings for the helmets obtained from the symbol of the High Elf spearmen shields.

- 2 Dwarf Runners made with 5th edition dwarfs. One of them lost his head and arms in one of our early conversions and we had made him a new ones.

- 2 Dwarf Slayers. Both of them were made using the Dwarf Dragon Slayer and the tied up Slayer of the Battle for the Skull Pass Boxed Game (Warhammer's 7th edition boxed game). The Dragon Slayer has a new pair of legs and the tied up Slayer a new body, legs and arms.

- 6 Dwarf Blockers made with 5th edition dwarfs and some putty.

- A Deathroller. The dwarf driving it, is of the 6th edition. The deathroller is made with the wheelbarrow of the 7th edition plastic dwarf miners, some cardboard, a cork and some other bits.

http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p262 ... dora04.jpg

We also have made some markers of turns, rerolls, touchdowns and FAME for our dugouts. We used the stones of the dwarf "fence" of The Battle for the Skull Pass, a barrel from the ogres and the TNT of the plastic dwarf miners to create some distraction and try to catch again the football.

Enjoy!

Excellent looking team. The conversions are very natural looking and perfect for a BB pitch. Can I ask how you made the grill on the blitzers' helmets? I'd love to do something similar.

Thanks guys.

axiom the grill is made with putty (a mix of green stuff and Sylmasta's A+B white modelling putty). I roll out a straight putty sausage and wait until is almost cured.

Then I cut some portions to make the upper and lower "horizontal" parts, I try to stick them to the helmet and if it is to cured I glued them. I left it to completely cure trying to avoid that it lost the form using gravity help putting face down the miniature but hold in the air with a clothespin or two.

I leave the rest of the sausage to cure completely and after I cut little portions and glue them to the "horizontal" parts. It is possible to put the vertical pieces while the putty is not cured but is more complicated. After I made two small putty balls and put them in the union between the helmet and the grill.

I hope you could decipher what I mean :-?

This team looks really nice but what got me is how you`ve turned those fugly old plastic one-pose dwarfs into such nice linemen. Kudos and can`t wait to see what more you got going :orc:

Thanks for the info - actually sounds relatively straightforward. I'll give it a go & hope to replicate your results.

These are actually amazing! Really good work here. I really like the deathroller. Is it possible to see the back of it?

I could take a shot of the deathroller back, I don't have any at the moment, only the ones that you see in the links to the pictures of the first post.
When I have I'll post it here.

Thanks again to all of you.

I like the bushy beard slayer...

I think the team has a great 'back waters' look. So none of the fancy armour of a top tier team but still clearly kitted out for sport.

Did you build on square bases then transfer to round?

Of course they are still GW models so no real need for knees...

When my brother and I built this team and the high elf team we didn't have enough round bases for all of them so we do the conversions in the square ones and after change them to the round bases. We bought a 100 round bases thinking about all the teams we were going to convert but right now I'm thinking a 100 is not enough.

The photos are in the links of the first post so you could see the players of each position before and after been painted.
Here is a photo of the deathroller from behind as asked by purdindas:

I think the slayers conversions are pretty good maybe the positions are not great ones but having in mind the miniatures we used to made them I think we did a great job.

The busy beard slayer was made with a tied up slayer with really few details tobegin with. Here is a photo of some steps of the conversions. At the top right of the photo is the original miniature (is not mine I took the image from the Internet and believe me painted gains a lot)

When I have some time I will post photos of other of our teams.
