Reinventing the 2nd ed Troll...I mean Slann

Slackjaw inspired me to break out my 2nd ed troll with his great conversion (
here). Unlike his view that the troll is too
thin and
naked, my view is that he'd make a great Krox for my
Slann team.
I picked up an Otherworld Miniatures giant frog, and one head swap later this is the result:
I trimmed off the spike on his shoulder pad, added some feathers and more slann-esque bits. He just needs a splash of orange paint

First doubles you get on him you now have to give him Leap. He is large Frog, after all.

I suppose so! Quite how useful it will be is another matter
Not a fully painted pic, but I thought I'd show you this:
It's at this point I generally figure that a conversion is working - all the different materials and pieces from different figures aren't easily identifiable any more (i.e. you can't see the bare metal head, blue troll body and plastic add-ons).
I'll hopefully get chance to do some more on him this week

Looks really good. Moreover, the normally gnarly hands of the old troll work well with the Frog aspect as well.

There's actually several similarities between the troll and some of the slann figures. Broadly similar anatomy (although he has longer arms and shorter legs), nakedness and warts. He actually matches better stylistically than the Greebo taxi toad I was originally using.
