Received the first image of the greens in the works from the sculptor.
The heads for Catchers and Blitzers will get Aztec style head gear and the Linemen will stay bald for the first casting. We later plan to release Linemen heads with head gear.
Also planned are a left arm sprue, a right arm sprue, a shoulder pad sprue, and an accessory sprue.
No estimated date in the store yet.
The intent of these sprues is that they are solely designed to be used with Kroot sprues from GW so that you can create legal Slann teams for events like the Dungeon Bowl and Chaos Cup where the Slann are allowed but there are still rules that the figures need to be mostly GW materials. To make sure we keep things happy the proceeds from the sales of these sprues will be used solely to purchase more inventory from GW for BBFigs.com to keep it all good.

I am very excited about these, I especially like the look of the fourth one from the left.
I assume some of them are going to be given helmets and so forth?
Very cool and different enough from the other ones to make both worth having.

Finally! I had looked at different alternatives, but they didn't convince me. At least these heads seem to be very slannish. Waiting impatiently

Bundle deal with Kroot Sprues.
And yes Fen ... the Catcher and Blitzer heads with have head gear. The first linemen heads will be head gear free. Then we'll create a sprue with linemen with head gear later.
Sorry this is the only pic I have right now.

Oh and I would like to be very clear the our conversion sprues will NOT have a Thrower arm in the mix ... absolutely not.
We promise NOT to waste metal making Thrower parts.

Hmm, my Reptiliads Slann team (Frogtown Rockets) is on the paintbench now. I might have to swap out their heads later. Igor, take a note please.

I was snooping around on the Warhammer World blog site in the vain hope of finding the BBGT 2009 rules pack. I could only find the '08 rules pack and the subsequent House Rules PDF. One part of the house rules that disappointed me was:
25. Q. I have an undead team that is mostly comprised of citadel miniatures, the majority of the team being made from Warhammer models. The two mummies are not citadel models. They were made by a Spanish sculptor named Edgar Ramos (Orc from Bilbao). Would this team be allowed to enter the grand tournament?
A. No – only Citadel miniatures are allowed. You may not make use of any non Citadel miniatures or components for the Bloodbowl.
I'm not sure, as yet, whether GW UK Events team will allow the three new teams in the GT as the rules pack hasn't been published - but if they did, there's a chance they wouldn't allow the BBFigs.com Froggy conversions as they're non-GW components. Do you have any inklings from your sources at GW that these might be allowed in the UK GT
if they were to allow Slann to be used?
I'll still be buying these anyway as the majority of my gaming is at club level - but it might be nice to have the option of using them at the UK GT.

Huh. Wow ... that's not standard GW policy ... at least it wasn't for years.
I know for the Dungeonbowl and Chaos Cup ... its majority GW product.
I know that legal got really bent out of shape about what they saw at the Blood Bowl last year (custom boards and such). So my guess is that this is a product of that.
I know many GW bunkers have the majority GW product rule for miniatures used for gaming in their stores ... so even if this is a no go for just the Blood Bowl we'll keep making these.
I'll talk with Dave Downes on this one. I'm not sure why the Blood Bowl would need rules more restrictive than other GW events.
