Metal Orc and Humies question, (and Is BloodbowlFIgs down?)
Im wanting to pick up a good Metal Orc and Metal Human set. I think the best overall Human set is the most up to date GW one. IM not so sure if I should go with a metal GW orc team, or a Metal scratchbuilt one (from fantasy black orcs, or even Reaper minatures).
So my questinos are as follows:
1) Is galag still in business, if I buy GW, im going to buy from him.
2) Are Gamers Exile sill in business. And is there anywhere in the US to get them? There human team is.. ok. And a few of their orcs are great, excpet the thrower who needs a sammich.

3) I may want to throw in some Hasslefree females on my Human team. Any good human teams that fit in well with them?
THanks,
Doug

Irishman: If you've been out of the business for some time; let it be known that Gamer's Exile (Neomics) have now added some new orc players (as well as some Dark Elf players):
- A fat thrower
- 3 goblins (1 with rotor blades on his back, 1 with a molotov cocktail, 1 fat one)
- An orc referee
- A new blitzer with forearm spikes
- A troll
Mephisto has uploaded pictures here:

For humans with football helmets; I made mine out of space marine parts (Mk 3 torso, filed down Mk 7 legs, space marine helmet with head fitted in, filed down company champion shoulder pads), wire for facemask, green stuffed thigh pads and chaos marauder arms:

Hopefully, some day, I will be able to paint the rest of the team.

Copied off another post
"Here's Gken's, for which he pretty much just glued the pieces together, so it shows you the basics of what you get:

And here's mine; I put a bit of work into some additional conversion of the bits with mine, so they'll give you an idea of what can be done with a bit of extra effort:

Seems my search fu was good today

Just thought I'd bring this thread back from the dead. Never got around to answering your request. They are still as unpainted as before, but one day. One day!
I only have this one guy painted, but have built most of the rest.

This is how I did it:
- Space Marine helmets with shaven SM heads inserted (face bar made out of thin wire)
- Space Marine Mk3 torso; (the one with no wings and stuff on) -> stomach cables covered with green stuff, skull filed off
- Chaos marauder arms
- Mk7 SM legs, running and standing (legs with kneepads) -> lower legs have been massively filed down and fixed, shoe laces and thigh pads added with green stuff. I also filed off the flexible parts between armour plates to make it all look like pants
- SM Company champion shoulder pads -> filed off lower half; green stuff cast more copies for the rest of the team and hollowed them for a better fit.
- I also filed down the torsos for the catchers and sculpted padding on them. I also filed them down in width; afterall recievers are puny whimps who shall be beaten. Linemen are the heroes of the team.
The biggest hassle was the legs, I still need to file off stuff from the other converted and fix things. I guess 1-2 hours work per pair of legs, so not for the lazy
Bitz can be bought from various places; these come to mind:
