Chulchan Leapers - Slann using Kroot

Just thought I'd post pictures of my Slann team I painted a few weekends ago.
With the Rules Review in mind last year, I started using a slann team in our open league at the ECBBL and quickly decided that with them being so much fun, that I would need to paint up a team pronto.
I saw that some had mentioned that Kroot could be used as models so invested in a box. Sure - their weapon snips are not straightforward at all with all those double-handed guns they carry, but they are fairly basic models and I decided to use the dipping painting method that I had seen in a danish thread (using kroot in particular - albeit with weapons).
Some are not happy with the heads, but I've got to say that if the Kroot don't look a little like amphibians, then I'm a Dutchman.
I used skink models for the catchers - not over happy with that - but can live with it for the time being. And of course, a krox.
2 hours of modelling, 2 hours of painting (just the camo green skin, browns and blacks with a bit of plummage differentation - especially painting four of the models with red plummage to show blitzers). I left the underbelly primer-white and let the dipping do the rest.
Basing and a bit of fine detail later (as well as highlighting the krox scales as the model was tricky to dip and shake properly) and hey presto. I reckon about six hours total effort from sprue to finish.
Galak and myself will colloborate on an article about their skills and so forth, but in the meantime, here are some of the pictures:
