Just finished the new sewer board and thought I would post a few pics here:

Image
The rotters almost feel at home in the smelly sewers while the goblins wrinkle their noses...

Long view of the pitch showing the sewage and dryer side zones.

Image
Fresh effluence pours into the pitch creating a flow in the water.

The dugouts, rerolls, score and turn markers.

That is so awesomely cool! I love the way that the middle portion of the field is the sewer channel and the wide zones are the walkways.

Very Well Done!

the water looks absolutely brilliant .. but I've got the feeling you could have done the highlighting on the tiles/stones better. (too much, too sudden contrast)

That`s a great theme for a board bud! You really get the sewer feeling just looking at it, kinda like "oh my this is just yucky, oy coach..do we really have to play here?".

Now to get cracking on my own board :D

Very nice. Don't like this one as much as the Orca one (despite having a skaven team), but I can't put my finger on why (sorry for the helpful comments   ).

I prefer the Orc one over this one. It's the sideline areas, the center flow is of a completely different style to the sides. The sewerage looks very realistic and honestly to balance this the pitch could have done with a more detailed paintjob on the sidelines/widezones.

Still, despite that bit of critique I like it.

I reallt do appreciate the critiques! And for what it is worth I 100% agree. But to be honest, until the very end, I was not sure whether I was going to be keeping this board or re-making it , because the two different tones of the flow was not intentional! When the first batch of resin was drying (the greener stuff) the board was sitting a bit askew, and I did not notice until it was too late. I poured the second lot in, just to see, and it looked funny.

Then I noticed that there did appear to be the flow coming from the one side and had the idea to put the pipe on. After that I decided that it was a keeper.

But this board and the orca-cola stadium are goint o be needed for my tourney this coming weekend. So as I still have some touch ups to do on the other boards, I will attend to the tiles of this one later. Any suggestions people may have would be welcome. I will have a go at it after the tourney is done, and post any new pics when it happens.

It might have happened by accident, but the different coloured areas of water are what attracts me to the center section of the board most of all. That variation in colour makes it look more alive.

I actually really like it m8, I think the hard work as been worth it, yeah the tiles need a little tone down (perhaps a glaze?) but aprt from that the style is spot on.

I had the honour of playing on this board last weekend and it is far more impressive in person.

I had a great game (lost horribly) on the pitch, but the special rules were lots of fun.

Prefer this one to your Orc pitch. Very original. In fact, I was so impressed I thought about having a go at making one myself. (But not going to happen - don't even have time to paint...)
