Alternative Nurgle Beast...

Post by VorTeX »

So i finally got me one of these alternative nurgle beasts...:)
And here is a pic to compare size to the old mino and a flesh golem. This beast is slightly bigger than the original big guys but on the same base. Only problem could be when its down on the pitch, but it should work or maybe i build myself a "big guy down" marker....

The orc head and the tentacles are my first conversions to a fig ever. They arent the best but look okay for the first try i think.....:-?

Mhh and thats the way it should look when its finished painting...:o

It looks like you did a good job. Since he's only holding the horn of the Orcs helmet his hand didn't need to be bigger so that's fine. I can't see where the tentacles are coming out but they look really cool from the front. If it's obvious they're just pinned on from the back you can usuallt just make some small tubes of geenstuff and smash them around the bases of them. The good thing about doing your first conversions to a Nurgle guy is that, even if you mess them up a little, you can just make it look like puss, goo, boils, raw flesh... whatever the mistake happens to look like.

I think he's to big for the pitch though. That's my opinion and has nothing to do with what you've done.

Yep that was me and yes its really a plastic mini....

And yep i will build a Big Guy Down Marker if i ll use this beast. As long as it is standing it fits perfect on the pitch. But as i already have a finished chaos spawn in use maybe i ll use that one as a team mascot...
I ll decide that when i finished the paint job....
and did it cost much?
The building company sells it for 21 EUR i think, i paid 23....so its a bit expensive but its the fourth fig i bought from this company and i can tell its worth every cent, these figs rock, they re really great!!!

They've got some other great figs based on European fantasy comix, from what I understand. Too bad they don't have a distributor in the States.

It's not a plastic mini, and it's made by Ilyad Games.
This is resin, which is far more interesting! Forgeworld range is in this material too.

There are two ranges of minis, for two games.
This one is from "The return of the gods". The other range is based on Ledroit and Froideval books, Dark Moon Chronicles.

i thought so, impossible to get that kind of detail in plastic, though if its resin, how messy are the casts? did it need a lot of tidying up?
