Possible new Limited Edition Blood-Bowl.Net fig

With the Chaos All-Stars being discussed in the Vault I was doing some
research and found the origin of other of Phil Lewis's Greens that I own.

Image

I thought the guy in green was just something Phil did off the top of his
head ... turned out he did have an actual image he was copying.

Image

So Phil sculpted and never cast his version of a Chaos Blocker.

The other figure was Phil's test cast of a special Head Coach figure for
the Chaos All-Stars.

So my question is ... if I was going to try to cast one ... which one would
you guys prefer. Are they both worth doing as limited edition castings?
Do they both suck and you'd not even try to trade for it?

Let me have your feedback ... thanks ... it costs a lot of money to cast a
figure in pewter so I'm just want to get some feedback before I try again.

His figs are ok but not as good as Phil's Phigs (You know, the other phil :)

They certainly have some collector value, but I'm not sure about anything much beyond that.

I don't really like either of them. The coach is okay but his face looks stupid.

Also, the other alien you did came out really small. Was that due to the shrinkage I've heard about that happens sometimes when a figure is cast? If so, that Green you have there may come out a good size. Too bad it's a poor looking fig. Is he going to tickle your nose with that feather on the end of his tentacle? :P

Like all the other's. neither is the best model, but i'd go for the green if i had to choose.

BTW, where did that Chaotic Human reference card come from? Was it a WD or some other publication and were any more done for other teams?

Too bad Phil didn't do a sculpt for each positon (actually the lineman does resemble Golem Goreblade, or whatever the mini was called, so a mini of the lineman wouldn't be needed). That would have made a great looking team if it had been done. Too bad we can't convice JJ to bring out a team like this for Chaos.

I don't really like the coach, but the green would be another good addition to the "pieces of BB history" collection. True, it's not the best designed mini ever, but it's still OK and would look good on a team.

Go for the green.

I vote for the green. What bugs me with the coach is that he has a dagger in his hand, he looks like a WFB wizard.

Seems that the green was a variant (or alpha) for that "constrictor" guy from the all-stars.

@Torg: the reference cards were printed in the White Dwarfs accompanying the rules for that team. There are made for nearyl every team (I've seen the one for Chaos Dwarfs) and they match the pewter minis. The Companion and Star Players books were just a compilation of WD articles (like the Annuals to the BBMag), still those reference cards were left out.

Yes, I would prefer the green one, if i have to choose. But i would take the other, too, when i get the chance to take him
... collector´s fate

Hm, the green is realy missing the nice spikes, which are shown at the pict below. Just asking for a little conversion including bending arm and tentacle to get a more 3D mini.

Any other greens, Galak, you can conjure up ? :)

Go for the green.... but the feather should be changed for something more agressive.... using it against a opponent player should be fun!

I like the drawn version of the green alot more than the actual green - but it would be cool enough. Can't have too many of those 2nd edition chaos guys - I just love them. :)

Head coach mini seems alot less interesting, considering the fact that we have _alot of fantasy minis to pick from as alternatives.

Agree with traveller too btw, wish the green was as bulky as the drawn guy, and I too miss the spikes. I suppose nothing can be done about that pre-casting?

Oh, and keep the feather - it gives the mini something unique. So what if it's not violent? :D

Keep the green as it is, anyone not interested in a "diving tickle" (joke!) can convert his mini anyway...

If it's Snakey, it sounds good to me.
