Base colour coding

Post by Sproutman »

Hi guys.

I've got myself an Amazon team that I'm playing in a few days in the PK&Q's tourney, my only problem is that most of my opponents who've played against the painted team have trouble distinguishing some of the models - particularly Blitzers and Linewomen. So I want to colour code the bases. However I understand that theres a general tradition on certain colours for certain positions, which I can't remember I'm afraid.

So basically anyone able to tell me the general tradition for positional colours, as otherwise I'm a bit concerned that its just going to be more confusing if I paint them up wrong.

Thanks for your help.

White: Throwers
Red: Blitzers
Yellow: Catchers
Linemen whatever.

I colour coded tags behind the numbers on my zons...

..and the numbers are coloured on the valks I've posted in here.

Good enough I think without going for full coloured base rings.

Cheers, although I think the full rings might be the best way for me - my painting skills won't quite stretch to numbers and backgrounds. Or at least, not with any degree of confidence.

And I wish my Amazons looked like that!

to distinguishing my amazon blitzers, I use two tricks:

first, they have more colors in the feathers.
and second, the blitzers have two small black stripes on the bases, close to the number.

for us is enough, specially because we don't want different color bases.

Well, I had been distinguishing them with different colour clothes, but that doesn't seem to have done the trick. I can tell the difference, but then again I'm playing with them all the time! Most people who I play have to keep asking whats what or keep blocking Linewomen only to find out they're actually Blitzers. Needless to say this isn't particularly nice, so I thought more drastic measures might be necessary.
