Got this model in an old Skaven batch and figured it would be perfect for the head coach of my 2nd edition rats



The one problem I have is deciding what to do with the warplock pistol in his left hand. I'm not too great with green stuff, actually I'm pretty dreadful so most greening is out of my league. So any ideas on what to do with the pistol (if anything at all) to make it more coach like?

if you can do a little bit with greenstuf it is easy to repair I think.

Unfortunately he's then holding his arm in a non-natural pose if he's not carrying anything in it

he could be holding an open playbook tight against his body. You'd only have to greeny the outside of a book, and the binding, That shouldn't be too hard, no? With the book open you could cover up the whole area from his hand to the end of the pistol.

Or making the pistol into a scroll maybe....

Greenstuff around the gun so it looks like he's pulling a pistol out of a bag or something, that ain't too hard.

Yep cut away the top edges of the gun and turn it into a playbook.

Don't do anything to it and say it's a warpstone bong or something. From the picture it doesn't look too much like a pistol. It just has the general shape. It could be one of those air-guns nurses use to give shots with instead of using a hypodermic needle. It's a good mini. Don't mess it up trying to do too much with it.

Just leave it as it is. Skaven coaches need a warplock pistol to argue the call...

I agree with squiggoth, leave it as it is. Why not model a small bag of gold by his feet, or even use a chest from the Mordhein (i think thats how its spelt?) plastics to represent his teams (and the other teams) winnings.

I actually like the treasure chest or bag idea a lot. A skaven coach with a gun looks just about right. Shooting the ref, a bad player or opposing fans.

How about turning it into a megaphone? It'd be easy to make a funnel-shaped blob of green stuff around the gun. Maybe Skaven aren't so good at shouting across the field.
