so no one here will know for sure, though its almost certain to be a random one

best off asking games workshop directly
Actually I do know the answer to this one ... talked to GW a couple times yesterday to get all the details.

You cannot order a specific miniature. If you order any individual miniature you will receive a random figure from the possible set of figures for that position.

So if you order the 4.95 GBP ($8 USD) Chaos Warrior you get one of the three Chaos Warriors.

If you are looking for a specific figure ... BBFigs.com and Ebay are still your only options.

=====

In other news ... I also found out that anything in the SG catalogue will eventually be on the website and cannot be ordered (even with the part number) until it is shown on the website store. So Zara, Ramtut, and Borak for example will be sold again by GW ... just not yet. They expected they should be in the store within the next few weeks.

Maybe I missed something, but I assume that blisters like Skaven Mutants 1 and Skaven Mutants 2 or Halflings 1 and Halflings 2 are the specific figures pictured. Is this right, or are they still working out a few kinks in their listings?

I'm just glad that there is more stuff readily available again, even if some of the Necromunda houses are a bit short-served (no boosters).

So, if for example, you ordered 3x Chaos Warriors, there is a potential for you to get three of the same miniature/ pose?

Yes for those items you are right ... however on others it is random selection.

Yes there is that potential. But you could just as easily get 3 of the same one or 2 of one and 1 of another.

This random is, imo, almost as bad as them not selling them at all.

Indeed, you are right.

I needed some BB models for Christmas and discussed this via PM with Galak Starscraper, and he asked me to go to GW to get my stuff. But I simply refuse, I want to know what I pay for, and for that, I support BBfigs for helping me do that.

Can GW win? really???

They do something great like reintroduce a lot of models, listen to the people and introduce boosters and bring back individual positions and support staff, and what do people do about it? whine like little bitches.

Buy them or don't buy them. Choice is yours, the good news is THAT YOU HAVE THE CHOICE to do it now (and a lineman is still a lineman, wether its lineman 1, 2 or 3 you end up with- and if you are that picky about the mini, then guess what? YOU CAN CHOOSE to get the exact model from BBfigs).

Its not as if someone has a gun to your head forcing you to PLAY a FUN GAME.

And to say that re-introducing minis as randoms is as bad as not selling them at all is just silly.

I'm with orkydave on this one. GW does something good and it always gets turned around.

I am stoaked as I don't have to pay retarded prices for stuff on Ebay now. Again GREAT JOB GW. Keep up the good work.

cunning of them, stop offering a useful service, then get praise when they put back half of that service at a later date ;]

its a start and they are probably only doing it as they can see it makes business sense, people who only wanted one mini weren't going to buy a whole box to get it, as noticed by ebay prices going up

good job they bought back the star players tho

i'm indifferent to it being good or bad, it just made sense and as such it comes as little surprise

I'm in the bash GW camp. Random figs is unnecessary, it also robs me of the chance to get free minis when the send me the wrong one and let me keep it :D However, I am very happy to see all the cheerleaders and the refs make a return, although it is a little frustrating knowing they have all those other 2nd edition figs and being reminded of it in this way.

I'd forgotten about that muppet that bought Hack'N'Slash for 75 quid! F'in hilarious IMO
