looking good - the skull on his shoulder pad isn't quite right though - right now it looks like a cobra skull, but I assume it is meant to be a rat skull.. you'll need to redo the teeth into flat ended incisors and not pointy canines I think...

looks great though, I want to add him to the store as well!! 8)

Hi Norse!

You are right, i have to change the teeth.
Maybe i'll just cut off the teeth, so there will be only the skull... i have to check out that.

Before creating a throwing player, I started sculpting a coach. There are still five player and you know... fantasyfootball-player are for the most part not really smart... so there'll be the coach needed.

the things that are still to do are cloured green here (MS-paint)

and here you see the original wip-model

Altogether i'm planing to spend not too much time with this guy... but it was/is a great fun to sculpt anyway.

hope you like the idea

I'm not sure about the "real-dressed" coach, with the trousers and the tie (this is fantasy football after all). But the players amazed me, absolutely. If you keep working like that, there'll be a lot of orders, I think. :)

PD: I want a scared linerat, it's cool!

@Blueschild: the "modern" coach is probably not everybodys case... but i think if goblins fight with chain saws, a besuited rat-coach should be ok.

@JaM: a man could never have enough rats :) ... i think so

here you see the current team:

Star/Runner, Blocker, "Linerat", Catcher, Coach

Now i'm planning to do a thrower

here coalesced with the template

i'm trying to post a lot of intermediate steps, so interested parties may use it as a kind of step-by-step-tutorial. (if favoured)

and i started painting the big guy:

I love that pic of the armature with that photo of a QB over the top of it.

I wish other sculptors would do something similar when they sculpt new FF figures. As 90% of the time, all we get is the same 'I'm a little teapot' or 'hailing a taxi' type of pose

MY GOD!!!!

If you pull that out for the Thrower you got yourself a deal for the rest of the team!

Then it will be officially the best skaven team EVER.

I will end up owning 2 skaven teams, even if I never played them and plan never to do so (just do not like the playing style)

I like the star/runner and the catcher, really nice feeling of movement to both.

Thanks for feedback :D

As promised a picture of the wip rat:

Image

after constructing the wire-dummy and the fixation with some green stuff, i tried to immobilize the proportions of the rat's body. I mostly add head and tail in that phase to see the interaction of all the proposed parts.

I'll wait for the final result but I think that he could work better with his mouth closed. It could give him a more serious concentration look.

Hi cyagen,

i will think about that in peace and quiet....

but so long, here some new pictures:

I mainly tried to work out his right arm in scryre-stile. A machine operated implant to throw a really great pass (Let's hope so...)

Hm...closed mouth... i have to think about that again.

Best regadrds,

Got to say Shizzo, I'm loving your work. I'll certainly be making a purchase once they're available.

One slight worry with the thrower is that the arms look a little scrawny, perhaps its just perspective but in the second pic the throwing arm looks particually thin and I think on a thrower that arm should be pretty "pumped".

Keep up the good work! I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of these guys!
