I never was all too enthousiastic about this project, but I might have to rethink my point of view ...

Those greens look absolutely great!

Will become a very, very hard choice as to what mini's to take for a slann team ...

I'm not sure if this has been answered, but are helmets a possibility? Not only because they look cool, but also to determine (is this the right word?) the different positionals.

Helmeted heads are being worked on now. Aztec themed.

Yeah that makes perfect sense.

Helmeted heads should be nice. This team is shaping up nicely! I'm still dubious as to wether It will be ok to use them in a GW shop though. Even if its supposed to be fine the staff might be a bit funny about the whole thing. Can we get some kind of certificate to show them? :P

Sorry ... no certificates available.

Here is my take on that. If you act guilty about it ... they'll say no. If you look confident and say ... to match the store policy I did some minimal conversion of Kroot sprues ... they have to argue against your position of strength not weakness.

Look in order to use the sprues you are going to have to fork over the cash for a Kroot box ... that's money in GW's coffers ... it seems INCREDIBLY stupid to argue against you using the figures when they clearly received their payment for them.

Also if you want to maintain your position of strength ... you simply say they are converted GW Kroot sprues .. you don't mention the name Impact! where they can hear it at all. Not because this is something that needs hidden ... but if you play at a fanatical GW than the main concern would be advertising a non-GW product. If someone comes up and goes ... wow awesome Slann team ... your answer is simply ... thanks I converted them from GW Kroot. (and leave it at that).

If they tell you no go ... before you give in ... simply ask the question ... why are these a problem since I paid for a GW product to play this team. To further this ... ask if you'd be allowed to play the team without the Frog head conversion (ie weapon sniped Kroot right out of the box) ... if the answer is yes ... than seriously ask them what the difference is. Especially if you are not advertising Impact! at their store ... I have issue seeing how they can object unless they would also not allow you to use unconverted Kroot.

When I get the sprues ... I'll do a water displacement test to measure the volume of the body and legs vs the head and arms so I can give you all a precise measurement of the amount of original GW content in the figure when these are used.

I agree ... the problem is that you have folks like the JOs at purdindas' GW bunker who actually will care about what that test shows.

Hobby sculptor ... so its difficult to rush him. Rather they'd look great than rush him.

He's working on helmets.
