Made a list of purchasing priorities for my BB collection. Quite high up on that list was replacing the wights and ghouls from my GW 3rd ed undead team and buying some flesh golems, werewolves and some more zombies to allow me to field it as a Necro team, giving me another team for low outlay.

Why that 30mm edge? More or less same top area than 25mm, but bigger than pitch squares.

Not on an awesomely oversized 40mm pitch.

The issue of having similar usable area than 25mm, which means big guys will need to have the legs near each other anyway, happens no matter what pitch you use. It just adds a bit more stability as the area in contact with pitch is bigger, but that's all.
