Need some help guys, when I came home from work and had another look at the helmet... I'm suddenly not convinced anymore.
I need your input here again, since it's only sculpted on, not glued (I can use force on him if necessary, and not harm him too bad...)

Here's a rear view of the elbows, not finished yet.

:-?

Elbows fine... for me the helmet not so sure. Personally I like the hairdo! I think the guy has a lot more 'character' bare headed. Sorry! :(

Great looking rework - I'm now looking at my skinny old troll and wondering what I could do!

I liked the helmet overall, but think it would have really been great with a face guard - that may have balanced out the look

I think it's where it curves up over his eye that's troublesome. Overall I really like the helmet and completes the look if you can even out that bar with the rivets.

Exactly what I did with my Troll, Stinga. He's got a goblins painty handprint from being slapped on the bum too!

I love this forum!

@burgun824: You good sir, are spot on. The curved metal there makes it look like it's made out of.. well, GS.

I removed the riveted ring and the side flaps and added fatter "metal" to the sides, capable of supporting a faceguard, and made a new ring, straight this time, wich really lifted the whole helmet idea. The "top" is still the same, so it will still be an... um, interactive helmet sort of deal :)

Now THAT is a brilliant idea! Very clever sir, I award you two e-props.

Anyway, if you'd like to make the helmet a permanent addition, id test out the face mask idea to see if that doesn't balance it a bit more. Conversely, it could be an overcomplication. Worth looking into.
