Re: Norse Ulfwerner & Snow Troll Models
The problem with those two is that they're both the wrong size. Remember, your average ST3 normal figure will come in at about 28mm to its eyes.
-- The Werewolf Safety is too small -- at 25mm to its eyes it's not exactly stunty-size, but it is short and very thin, much moreso than it appears in the picture; it's definitely smaller than your average ST3 figure, much less being ST4. I own this figure and I could see it as a fast, ST3 Werewolf on a Necro team, but an Ulfwerner it is not.
-- The second, the ZN Uflhedner, is "big guy" big; it's already 35mm to the eyes so it's in the 45-50mm range to the top of its hunched shoulders at its highest point -- as in, it's comparable in size to the 5th edition multi-part Ogres. In fact, one suggestion for use of the ZN Ulfhedners has been to use them for an Ogre team, with 6 of them as the Ogres and and an assortment of the Deadling Werewolf and Deadling Werepoodle as the snotlings.
So as nice as both figures look, neither are really appropriate Ulfwerner material. If you want an Ulfwerner from Impact! (and supporting Impact! is always recommended
), stick with the Viking Shapeshifter: http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.p ... &id=TI_VWW

The Wendigo Hunters as Ulfs is nice, it ties them together with the Snow Troll/Wendigo Chieftain nicely.

Don't forget these guys too:Lahatiel wrote:If you want an Ulfwerner from Impact! (and supporting Impact! is always recommended), stick with the Viking Shapeshifter: http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.p ... &id=TI_VWW

They fill the role of Ulf on my norse team and are pretty good size wise I think.

Re: Norse Ulfwerner & Snow Troll Models
Yes, it is beautiful (like all the minis of PP). In my case, i wanted a team with only human players (without wolfes and so on), so i was very happy to see a troll with a lady on it. This troll is beautiful, but there is no lady
You have also this one which is interesting:
