Re: GW Minis
I think you are going to have to wait longer than December 1st to see it happen ... we were only told happening in December.mamapepe87 wrote:The individual minis aren't on the website, anyone know what the deal is with it? Do you have to order them by phone?!
Trust me .... I'm very intererested to see how this rolls out as I need to restructure an entire company based on what they do. The sooner they do it the faster I can get BBFigs.com up and running again.

Yup. UK WD also said 1st December, and nothing this side of the pond eitherDecker_cky wrote:The Canadian White Dwarf explicitly said that it would be available as of December 1st, so I'm sure if you called mail order it might be available, but the website could take a bit to update.

That said, I'll wait until Galak figures (no pun intended) out his position before I buy...

Shame really, as people have said it has been explicitly stated in WD 1st of Dec, if I were the head of a multinational company, I would ensure that as of 00.01 GMT the site would show the changes otherwise it just looks unprofessional (having advertised it in a magazine) and just plain business sense. But maybe its better to release it with the nw Griff model on the 6th??
I've bought all the models I've wanted from BBFigs since its creation, (and will continue to do so- cheaper than GW and you know its going to an organisation that supports the future of BB) but I am also excited at the idea of 2nd Ed Figs being re-released and any new BB figs being released from GW.

Re: GW Minis
The fact that no one knows exactly what is going to be available when they start selling individual figures is what makes this very Christmas like.mamapepe87 wrote:but I am also excited at the idea of 2nd Ed Figs being re-released and any new BB figs being released from GW.
We know GW has promised to give us a gift of sorts but we don't know if its something they bought us on clearance or the toy we asked for or the toy we really wanted in our wildest dreams but were 99% sure we'd never get.
By the way ... I currently have over 1200 GBP set aside to start ordering for BBFigs.com to get it back up running as soon as I see what they are going to do so I do hope to get things rolling as quickly as possible once I know exactly what is going on.

VAT Drop
Yeah, VAT drop to "encourage consumer spending"...never thought I'd see GW drop their prices though!
We can all hope it's the toy we REALLY wanted for Xmas!!

Just to add for our non-UK TBBers, this VAT drop has resulted in odd prices all over the place here in the UK- mostly a weird and small reduction on almost everything.GalakStarscraper wrote:Interesting ... GW-UK dropped their prices on the BB stuff by 2% within the last couple days.
Now why would you do that?
Not complaining ... just seems very weird specially with the new prices as a result.
29.35 GBP for a normal boxed team???

Looks like the UK site is now showing the individual models. You only get a random choice of a position though. I'm really not happy about the £5 per single model though
On the plus side, the cheerleaders and a lot of the star players seem to be back. Hack Enslash and the new dwarfs stars like Boomer and Flint are on there for £5 which seems cheap compared to the other stars that were already on sale. No sign of Lord Borak, Zara or Ramtut III though
On the whole... meh. Hopefully GW will forget to raise the prices of the stars but reduce the price of the individual models.

Ooo - they've brought back a blister of the goblin ooligans...
