MORE STAFF!

I am happy to announce THREE new staff  miniatures this week! We are very close to production now! Soon the masters will be going into the casting company for moulding and prodcution!

Firstly, this week we have the lady (?) that will keep your fans onside even when all of your Catchers are in the KO box, the CHEERLEADER!

Image

Next up, he's loud, he's drunk, he's obnoxious, but he keeps buying your team jerseys, it's the #1 FAN!

Image

And finally, this week it's the last ditch effort of getting that cage open or shooting down that nightmare blocking, dodging, leaping, sidestepping nightmare of a ball carrier down on the ground... It's the SHAMAN!

Image

After these I just have the REFEREE, the COACH and HEAD SPRUE No.2 and then we are off to the races! Production can then begin!

Thank you all for being so patient while Pedro and I have worked through the last details of the project. I am 100% sure that the final product will be worth the wait.

Much love,

J-Bone

Apologies for the absence... The greens are coming, production is nearing and I'll keep you updated as much as possible. Unfortunately, for the past couple of months the only news has been "Pedro is still working is arse off!"

Seeing these greens make me happy. They have so much more character than any 3D sculpt will ever have.

While I agree, I also believe its a reasonable amount to do with the team design also :)

Greens do seem to look better than 3D renders though, but I suspect that'll partly be along the same lines as computers starting to get a little bit too fancy for my liking  (i.e. all attributable to impending old age)

That is very true as well. A bad sculpt is a bad sculpt in any medium, and a good sculpt of a bad design can still lead to a mediocre product. So what we got here is a situation where everything slotted together like a thing from the movie Transformers which leads to one of these situations where the final thing is greater then the sum of it's parts. I believe that qualifies as a work of Art then.

As to the 3D sculpts. So far they never gave me the feeling that something coming from a 3D sculpt ended up being greater then the sum of all it's parts, or even getting close to 42 for that matter.

A computer is the medium of a technician while green stuff is the medium of an artist. That's how I see it anyway.

So Pixar Studios are just "technicians"?
