Well, I just finished creating this little thingy, which I call a Play Creator.. It is a Flash thing that allows you to set up plays, with tackle zones etc. Yes I am aware that most people will have no use of it, but take a look and post your thoughts still... here's the link!

You should have created a self extractor or used winzip.

I think this will be a big help to people new to the game. Defensive set ups seem to be the hardest things for some coaches.

That was the reason for creating the thing in the first place! I've only recently started playing again, and found myself drawing loads of BB Pitches, but then thought that it should be possible to do a PC thing for this, to save paper and time.. maybe I should have posted it in the tactics forum instead, but.. now it's here, anyway!
All the veterans have their favourite plays of course, but... well, Dark Lord said it.

Hmm ... good work!
I've got some idea for that: could you add the second team, a option flag for the display of TZ, some Pushback, Block symbols that go between players and a "paste picture to clipboard" or "save to jpg" function and this could be the standard tool for strategic explanations.

Thanks for the ideas! I'll start working on it right away... (Summer Holidays are NICE!!) The TZ on-off flag shouldn't be too hard, the adding of the other team will take some work but will definetely be possible too. The save to JPG/Clipboard thing should be possible too, but I don't know how to implement it yet. (will work on it though - if it isn't possible, or at least until then you can always use the Print Screen button). I'm not sure if I understand what you mean with the "Pushback/Block symbols that go between players". If I understand you correctly, do you mean symbols that can be placed on the board like the players themselves?
Well, I'll work on it right away!
Cheers...

It would be really nice if one of these programs let you somehow list skills for the players as well. That way, you could show how to set up a more advanced team as well.

Excellent work. Being able to set up both teams would be nice.

Arf,
I'm afraid the same tool exist for months on
www.francebloodbowl.com (unfortunately down for some days, I guess).
On the menu on the left, it's called "defensive play maker", with some defences ready, and the possibility to make your own one...
There's also a very goot toll, called "Proba calculator", which would give you some... probas

on blocks.
But it's a fact that if you should add a second team on your tool, it would become great

and unique!

Great job !
DaFrenchCoach is right, there's already a software like this on FranceBloodBowl.com for ages !!!
However, thanks to your software, we'll be able to test formations offline now, it's more convenient !!

Oh, I didn't know that one existed already.. good thing that I already started improving mine then
I'll open a site for the tool, at
http://www.angelfire.lycos.com/magic/mixx
(no imptovements are finished yet, as I have spent the afternoon/evening playing 3 games of BB (two losses and a draw, but still...). Keep posting ideas please!
Oh, I've been asked to release the file as a Flash file as well, I'll do that soon (so that Mac users can join in on the fun

) check the website!
Cheers!

www.francebloodbowl.com is back!
Kadu-c is right. The main interest of your tool is you can use it offline.

That, and the fact that it is not in french

I for one only know "Baguette" and "Merde" in french

well a slight bit more maybe, but still.. anyway, once I've built a few more things into it (work is progressing nicely) it will be a quite different tool, don't worry!
