Why can't my strength/tough teams do this?

After a few months of only playing Orcs, Undead, and my fave, Chaos Dwarfs, I started a rookie Amazon team.

Today I played 2 games against Chaos and Amazons...

against Chaos I got 4 casualties and 1 kill, against the Amazons I got 6 casualties and 3 kills (!!!).

I started this team to see what it'd be like playing with a dodgy non-tough team, and I end up getting way more casualties than the other teams I play...what the hell? I just had to express this...hopefully my league Undead will pick up some of the crazy luck I had with the girls

Because Dodge is the best skill in the game. When being blocked, it is as good as block. You can get your weaker player out of trouble, and get assists where you need them too. Add in the fact that most players get access to General skills(block), but few can get Agility(dodge), so everyone having Dodge is huge.

I played Goblins with my Amazon team in FUMBBL the other day, and inflicted 4 kills

That was out of 6 casualities though, and thus more about luck than dodge skills. His apo cured a SI, so all 4 were actual kills.

The combination of having players that stands up a lot more than others, and thus can make blocks every turn, and huge possibilities of getting your assists in place, is obviously quite lethal. I'll just get them all block, and then...

It's just Nuffle screwing with you.

I never manage any cas, whatever team I play. I can make the armour rolls, sometimes but then the injury rolls fails miserabely (usually something involving at least one '1')

They will get better in time as the skills come. Dodge is an investment. My DE's always take it, cuts down the attrition.

Can I join your organization now, Torg?

My Amazons can do the quick pass to gain SPP's or score TD's, or pick up the ballwith no skills/RR's with any player. My Norse have trouble passing with the thrower

For me picking up the ball is hard, let alone throwing it

Do you find injuring with your piling on, MB, etc. Blitzers is that hard as well?

Hmm, for me its the other way around.
My norse can can make almost any pass (even 6+ passes from linemen :D ), while every time i try to pass with my amazons they fumble the ball :(

Dodge is the 2nd best skill in the game, only because it can be neutralised.

Lol Dave, I think we have the same problems. Getting Cas is extremly hard for me for some reason. With my dwarfs, there are usually few left standing when my turn ends (at least if they are not all dodged away like the evil elves do), but to get a Cas still seems to be very hard.

And my throwers, hehe, I'm famous in my league with failing the pickup, or getting something screwd with my thrower. My Woodelf team thrower have 4 completions in 6 games played. He can't pick up the ball, when he throws its either a bad throw, fumble or interception. So maybe I should just be happy that I actually have 4 comps.

So to you Artificial Penguin, it seems like some ppl just don't have what it takes when it comes to make cas with ST teams, thats all I've managed to figure out with my own experience :D
