Taking It For the Team 101

Post by Artificial Penguin »

Well, after only 3 games with my first Chaos Dwarf team, I've developed a very interesting Hobgoblin.

Meet "Nagustaya", a 6237 Niggled Hobgoblin with no skills. He's become the master taking the hits to let everyone around him look like a star. The league we're playing in uses the EXP rules instead of MVP rules, so I don't need to worry about him stealing an MVP, and I don't yet have enough guys to dump him or turn him into a coach.

In the meantime, I wish I were keeping a stat on how many times this poor guy's been knocked around. -1ST and 1 niggle in 3 games is impressive. I give him credit for tying up my opponent's Minotaur for nearly the entire game last game :D

Just wanted to say thanks, Nagustaya, for showing everyone how to take it for the team 8)

Change his name to Habib and send him after big guys on suicide blitzes at the end of your turns.

Was that in poor taste?

Maybe but it's a wacky tactic ( I don't think I can actually call it that) that seems to work for me more often than not.

Threre is always one guy who always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, or maybe you are just tempting fate by putting him in front of an angry big guy

Extremely. Can we leave the racial stereotyping off the board please? Cheers.

He reminds me of another player in my league. A skaven linerat with 2 niggling injuries. He gets put on the line on every defensive drive. That's one less good skaven getting hit!

Just goes to show how favored AGI teams are. I'ts too damned hard to get casualties.

Agi teams (the ones without big guys) are not favored. Hitting teams (the ones without 4 mummies or a 160k big guy) are not favored. Teams that can do both well are favored.
