Are Bull Centaurs overpriced at 130k?
Bull Centaur:
Cost 130k
Access to General, Str skills
6429 Thick Skull, Sprint, Sure Feet
Based on the cost system I've seen posted here before, it works out exactly to 130k:
+6 for ST 4
-2 for AG 2
+1 for AV 9
+2 per skill (x3)
160k, anything over 100 divide the extra by 2 = 130
HOWEVER, all three skills/racial abilities seem to be half-value skills (not very good). It's not like the BC comes with Block, Tackle, and Thick Skull (which would be great! a fast CD with +1 ST).
Ideally, I'd put it at 120k or so. Tell me what you think.

Priced correctly, IMO.
There is more to price then just skills and stats. You also have to look at the niche the player fills while on the team. Considering the extreme benefit it gives the Chaos Dwarves, they are a bargain at that price.

The fact that there are 2 BC's, Chaos Dwarfs have cheap rerolls, the BC's can use them and that the Chaos Dwarfs come with a good skill set is reason enough to keep them at 130K. Also the fact that they have MA 6 + ST 4! That's alot of movement for a ST 4 player. They make nasty blitzers. By their 2nd skill they are mean machines! 130K is fair.

GREAT point!!! I forgot to mention this. If they were on another team, maybe they would be overpriced. Having good movement on a high strength player that can take rerolls on a Dwarf team means something more.Bloodbasher Masher wrote:Priced correctly, IMO.

Thanks for the thoughtful response

In my experience, sprint + sure feet is just slightly better than +1 MA. That's pretty pathetic considering you're spending 2 skills for that extra MA. Of course, i start most teams with 4-5 rerolls, so that may be why this combo isn't that useful to me (i often go for it without it and use team rerolls to back me up).
