in the framework of the slightly modified 3rd ed stuff that jervis came out with a few years ago (allies, rookie big guys, star players, etc) there were some pretty reasonable demon teams that were semi-official.
you had to have a wizard on staff to summon a demon (if the wizard ever died and wasn't replaced by the end of the game they all left). they were expensive as hell. a "dedicated" team (which you had to be to take demons) couldn't have any other allies, had to be PURE chaos.
The lesser demons (you could have 0-2) were dispelled (dead) on BH or more, and could get spps. Also they were all av7 or less.
The greater demon had a referee roll and was dispelled on SI or worse, and was also peaked.
as I said IN THE FRAMEWORK of the old system they were pretty fair. If you wanted to do them in an LRB setting you'd have to make some adjustments.
I have the rules on my webiste, which I will link here for your reference:
http://mama.indstate.edu/users/python/b ... emons.html
The greater demons were pretty nasty, but remember they were easy to get rid of (si or worse, or get rid of wizard with sorry or sorry sir), plus they had a penalty roll. also of course, you could only have 1.
I played one once for 6 games, and they won every game they played before they got demonettes (4-0), and after that they were 1-1. I never did get a keeper of secrets...at 230k it's a bit of an investment.
I know that's not a lot of playtesting, but it's all I have. They weren't as awesome as the record suggests, I think the main thing that made them good was Lord Borak started with the team. It was the best way to make chaos back then.
have a look at the team if you want...it was an online league so I have the roster here:

I was thinking along the lines of the nurgle team:
Khorne:
0-12 Beastmen
0-4 Bloodletter
Slaanesh:
0-12 Beastmen
0-4 Daemonette
Tzeentch:
0-12 Beastmen
0-4 Horrors
Just something that simple.

use the rules i put up in the previous post and get rid of the greater demons since they don't fit here, and then lose the wizzo restrictions. no biggie. just remember it means you can't have a big guy because that would be an ally, so there's a tradeoff...would it be better to have 2 demonettes or 1 minotaur?!?

You could use a greater daemon model as that Spawn thingy. So just flavor the models and use the same rules, perhaps the rot would be lost. Come up with something else. It's all good. Chaos teams should be flavored for flavor, not because there are new rules that make them powerful.
Personally, I hate chaos, since there is nothing chaotic about them.

They so missed an oppurtunity with that beast of Nurgle...and really the whole Nurgle team.
They could have made up some cool new rules and made the team a whacky variant of Chaos but no that was too scary.
What would be wrong something like this?
0-1 140K Chaos Spawn 4 6 1 9 Mighty Blow, Regeneration, Tentacles, Chaotic* Gen Str & Phys
Chaotic- This player must use all of his movement when he moves. He cannot pick up or catch the ball. When this player moves he must use the throw in template to determine his direction. If he enters a square with any player, friend or foe, he will throw a block on him, exactly like Fungus the Loon but assists are allowed as normal and the Spawn may be blocked by opponents. This doesn't count as the team's blitz for the turn.
Wouldn't that be a hjell of a lot more fun than just some big hard ass? I can't be the only one falling asleep at the wheel looking at the new teams, can I?

Well to be honest I joined the MBBL because I was intimidated by the MBBL2. I didn't know the software and I didn't want to learn the software and a bunch of house rules. Then, you wouldn't let me be in both.

So I joined the REBBL Challenge league. lol

God I hope they don't do Demon teams! Demons don't belong playing BB, don't they realize 11 is Nuffle's sacred number? I see Khorn getting jealous if Bloodletters get summoned to play Nuffles game.
Really, no Demons, just like no Dragons, Steam Tanks, Spirit hosts, or any number of other broken teams they could add. If you want, make Chaos list like the Nurgle team...Warriors get frenzy, or Hypnotic gaze, or something. Even that seems stupid to me, give them the correct skills on advances, and model them up right.

I think a Khorne team could be fun. You could make a roster of all Witch Elves, Norse Blitzers, Chaos Warriors and Minotaurs. Give them a Bloodletter big guy that has some ultra violent form of Wild Animal. Can you imagine a whole team with frenzy and wild animal? You'd have to take away block to start out but it would be a fun team to play. Hard to control and very violent.
Teenztch players need to get a teleport ability and Slannesh players should be able to seduce enemies into joining their team.

Oh, sorry, yup that's right ...... but .... I basically lifted that restriction on the MBBL2 about 2 months ago. So if you ever wanted back in until the league hits 80 coaches, you are now welcome ... just no yelling at me on that forum please

I try to keep the MBBL2 LRB based with the extras, so I promise no Kicking or EXP until or unless they become official.
