Wasn't there rules for this waaaayyy back in the day? I think it needs a spot on the pitch. Maybe to chuck a Halfling down pitch like the blunderbuss? Maybe to use ballistically against opponents? Give it a 7+ penalty roll since it would be pretty obvious. Whats eveyone else think?

i think the hotpot is a fun piece of artillery in warhammer, and it should stay there.
my dark elf team leaves their bolt throwers at home...the dwarves leave their myriad of cannon and war machines...just leave it at that.

The dwarfs left thier warmachines behind? What do you call the Deathroller? I don't think the Hot Pot is totally out of the question as the Halflings have ABSOLUTELY nothing but trees and hobbits. Not that I'm complaining about that, I do like playing my Halflings as they are, I just think it would give them a new dimension (instead of the 2 dimensions they usually end up as at the end of the match) and give them more than the one star player they have to choose from.

Okay, soooo doomdivers are which race then? I only know of gobbo doom divers. And yeah, we have a good big guy, and can take two (which I do), but we have to hope they show up, and if they don't we usually don't last until they do show up. It was just an idea, I don't mind being a little less competitive, it challenges my strategy more, and I know there are challenging halfling teams out there. Hopefully I'll be able to add the Halfpints to that list someday.

From the archives at blood-bowl.net
Code: Select all
Secret Weapons:
Halfling teams may have a Hot Player secret weapon player. Secret weapon players do not get star player points for casualties caused by their secret weapons.
HOT POT - 30,000 gold - Penalty Roll 9+
This weapon may on be used if the Hot Pot secret weapon player is in uninjured Reserves and normally needs two uninjured teammates to assist him fire it (but can still fire the Hot Pot if there is at least one uninjured teammate to help him). Once per half, during his turn the Hot Pot player may fire the Hot Pot onto the field using rules for a Hail Mary Pass with a -1 modifier if there is only one teammate helping. If a modifed 1 or less is rolled then the Hot Pot has slipped and spills all over the players trying to fire it. Make an armour roll for each of the three (or two) players firing the Hot Pot. Anyone in the square it lands in is automatically knocked down and those in adjacent squares are knocked down on a 4+. Roll for armour and injury normally. Note: Referees are onto this Halfling trick, so penalty rolls are made for the Hot Pot player at the end of any drive that he stayed in the Reserves (rather than the normal rule of his being on the pitch).

I think alot of halfling players used the hotpot models to represent their chef's. That is until virtually every tournament and league made wizards and thereby chef's illegal.
I used to love the look on my oppos face when he lost all his RR!
But yes I agree. Halfies dont have alot of choice in the team. There should be rules for at least something!
I heard somewhere some experimental rules for sticky buns....
So lets see some improvements in the halfy armaments. How about some specials and new skills:
Like super soaker-pop guns.
Or jelly armour.
Or mustard bombs.
New skills:
'Pyramid of doom' skill. Multiple halfies in a daring acrobatic pyramid. About 8 of them might actually reach a normal player's height!
'Eat opposition's halftime oranges.'skill
'Trip opponent with oversized hairy feet.'skill
And lastly 'Mighty shin Blow.'
