Can anyone see my signature? I've got all the options checked etc. but it never appears!

should it be visible to me, or can only others see it?

And just in case: when changing your profile, you have to push the submit button in the bottom of the screen.

If this was the problem, reply: "you dumbass, of course I knew that". If it wasn't, then reply: "you dumbass, of course I knew that"

Judging from the lack of signature in your previous post it appears that it indeed wasn't the problem. And it isn't a universal problem either as I managed to change my signature. Try your secondary browser if you have one, try turning off security features, emptying your disk cache etc. Could have something to do with your account, but only JohnnyP could answer that...

Addendum:

Being a student of computer science I've grown accustomed to ask the simplest questions first from unknown people who ask help for computer-related problems.

Is anybody else "tech Support" for their parents?

Biggest problem with users? Most people in this world should have bought a MAC but they bought a PC. That's my Mom's problem.

I don't know how many times my mom (who uses AT&T) has closed the IE window and then tried to relaunch AT&T. She'll ask me how to get it back and I'll say "launch Internet Explorer" and she'll reply, "I don't want use IE. I want to use AT&T!"

She's always telling me that stuff "just happened all of a sudden!" One time she had no sound and couldn't figure out why. Come to find out she uninstalled her sound card. Of course she said, "I didn't do anything! It just happened!"

i feel your pain. I have worked tech support for many years and then when i get home I got calls from my family on how to fix things on the computer.. I also sell them now and people ask me the strangest things and call so many things the wrong thing.
People love to call the computer tower the Modem. people always come in and say they want to buy a modem and i show them a modem, and they say no.. i want a modem, not that. :o

and its always odd little things..
i could post a million things i have gone through, but i am trying to keep the thoughts hidden in my brain so it wont explode thinking about all the dumb people and dumb questions..

I presume you've seen the last few days of User Friendly?

It has had (once again) a tech support -plotline for about a week.
