All the specialist games, miniatures, rule books and other documents have been completely deleted from their new web site.
bye bye specialist games, you were the only thing GW ever did well.

Yep. Did a search for 'Blood Bowl' and returned zero matches.
This is clearly bad for the ongoing popularity of the game.

time to contact GW, ask how much they want for the game, then get a kick starter going to buy it.

Actually, if they aren't even hosting the rules anymore, how the hell are people supposed to play Cyanide? GW might not care about BB but they must sure as hell care about the royalties from them?
Did a search, and CRP is still up somehow :
http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Cus ... lebook.pdf . Just not linked from the GW site itself. Odd.

Yes it does. But it doesnt tell you that it has happened so no one seems to be aware.

Good find Joe. The previous link stopped working. The NAF site is now hosting the CRP to keep it stable, hopefully it doesn't cause problems.

It's good the NAF has taken that on board. Will GW kick up a sticnk about it?

For anyone trying to get into the game new, direct them here to get a full starting kit:
http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.p ... id=SB_BKIT
or here if they have figures (either by owning already or borrowing):
http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.p ... id=SB_FKIT
and also give them the link to the NAF hosted rulebook
Sann0638, as long as the NAF is going to host a rulebook. Could it ppplllleeaasseee be the Icepelt rulebook. That is the CRP but with all the background and fun facts. If we are going to save a rulebook for future people to see, just think it should be the one that is actually the rulebook and not the skeleton.

I doubt you'll get that rulebook version, IP worries and all (although I'd LOVE to call their bluff--Really, judge, we've intruded on GW money and confused the market place on a game they've killed?). Frankly, I'm waiting for THAT shoe to drop on the burning embers of GW's immolation of the official game.

Agreed with lawquoter - although I also would love to see the icepelt version posted think it'll take someone with a bit of money to go up against any IP claim from GW

Legally speaking, I'm very wrong. It's their IP to do with what they wish, even if it means to sit and let it rot...so long as they renew the copyrights upon expiration. I'd love to find a test case (and this very well could be it) to bring to a receptive court to extend the real estate concept of Adverse Possession (use it or lose it if someone else makes use of it openly for a period of time) to IP law. But I'd rather do it from the perspective of a plaintiff than as a defense case. It's too risky of a proposition, honestly, and you'd have to have deep pockets to withstand a crushing defeat...and if you had that, you might as well just buy the IP off them.

The other problem is that the Courts generally extend IP protection than restrict them (see Mouse, Mickey...

). Oh well, one can dream...

Joe, that's not actually CRP. That's an old LRB. I checked the Kick-off table, for example, and the riot rules are not the latest. CRP is a lot less pretty, too.
