There is a term going around, and it is called min maxing. What does this mean?

In short, it's basically just creating an optimized team (or character or army, depending on the game). It's usually used as a pejorative terms, with the implication that this process doesn't allow consideration for background, fun, or sportsmanship. The name refers to minimizing undesirable aspects of a team/character/army (negative skills, say), while maximizing positive ones (block).

My understanding was that it went a little further especially with regard to FUMBBL in that the minimising refers to TV while maximising the team ability to either win or destroy a team. Mainly this takes the form of having a few highly skilled players with the rest of teh team kept as rookies, i.e.os Dwarves or Chaos with two or three Claw, Piling On and Mighty Blow with a team teams of rookies to keep the TV down for better match-ups.

As an example, take the following Chaos Pact team:

1 Ogre: 140k
1 Dark Elf: 70k
9 Marauders: 450 k
3 Rerolls: 210k

Total TV: 870

This means that, if you build selectively, you can have 2 ClawPOMP Marauders (60k x 2) at a TV of 990. In a match-making environment, where you are automatically coupled with a team of the same or very close TV (like FUmBBL's Black Box), you will face rookie teams with this setup. And you will destroy them. Yay.

Box has changed recently to take games played into account. This means that such teams with many games played will (usually) find themselves playing against a higher TV team.

Oooo. I was unaware of that change. May have to go hit some box games again.
