I have recently heard that some of the old teams will be getting new models. Has anyone heard which ones will be getting redone?

Hopefully the Orc's and Dark Elves will be high on the list. Both need to be updated to the "new" look.

Also a new treeman needs to be done.

So whats the news on new stuff for older teams?

There are new elves coming, but other than that I don;t believe there are many teams being resculpted. Vamps are next on the list.

I was told in an email from Andy Hall that most teams will be eventually redone. The only one I know about for sure is the new elf team, not sure what will be done next. As for treeman, I really doubt there will be a new one as the current one was done only a couple of years ago specifically for BB. (I know he doesn't really look like a treeman, but what can you do)

New Elf team as in all new elf team or new minis for an existing elf team?

Vamps probbly need some new stuff, and the new teams will be getting new stuff. But, this is to be expected because they are new teams after all. Personaly I would like them to get the rules balanced and straight for each new team, befor the make minis for them. Some of the new teams are way to strong, others are a bit on the weak side. Rules first, new minis second is what they should do for new teams. But, keep puting out new minis for the older teams.

Anyway, have fun. :D

What they should do are put-together sets of miniatures like the plastic warhammer regiments. As they can drop the weapons from the sprues, they could fit a large selection of different heads, arms, legs, shoulder pads etc. One set would include enough material to make a 16-player team.

That would rock.

Unfortunatly, I doubt they could justify a new mold just for BB. Plastic molds are crazy expensive, and I don't see there being enough demand for BB teams of any stripe for them to release plastics. At best, hope for ones for a whole game set...and even thats probly out of the question. I think Orcs are most in need of an update (even tho I just finished my old style team), with humans a distant 2nd. Of course we can dream can't we? :smoking:

They could make some spare hands, catcher gloves, thrower things, shoulder pads and blitzer spiky things though.

Just one small sprue like the newer Necromunda models have.

everyone seems to think hands and helmets and such as loose bits are a great idea, but take it from someone who has honestly tried to create such accessories in the past... it don't work. take hands for instance, grab an orc, an elf, a human, and a dwarf at random from your bb shelf and look at their hands.... they're 4 totally different sizes... now, imagine if you had this miraculous sprue you all are clamouring for.... the hand would probably be somewhere in between them all... so, the hand would look ok on the human, probably passable on the dwarf, but your poor elfs are going to have these massive hands and the orks'll be lucky if their wrists aren'tbigger around than their hands...

so, what you wind up with is a situation where you have to do a series of sprue sets, big, little and small... or better still, race-specific sets if you are going to be providing heads... now you are making dozens upon dozens of individual pieces, having to deal with casting sprues, which is a pain in the ass, and all of this for an item which will have very limited sales potential...

...and then the posts will come about how the hands keep falling off...

If you want to see some pics of the new elf sculpt then take a look at his link here:

In my opinion I would guess that they are wood elves. I'll admit that the catcher looks dramatic but I would have to see them up close to get a good idea of what they are like.

Also I think this link here is for concepts of the new Necromatic undead team:

I agree on the size problem but making four (quick count) sprues (Dwarf, Human, Elf, Orc) and perhaps one with smallller hands ('flings, skinks) should accomodate for most teams.

Undead can use Human etc.

I even think Gobbo's have relatively large hands so ...

And it Does work for necromunda (agreed, just humies there)

They aren't Woodies. They are either High Elves or just "Elves" like in 2e. I remember Jervis telling ZChet John and I last year they he didn't like the 3e HEs much and wanted to start doing moer 2e style minis again. I have a feeling they will be sold as HEs though.

Well if those are wood elves then I would hate to see what re-sculpted Wood Elves wood look like. Those guys have no armor on and look like they are just wearing t-shirts and pants. Are re-sculpted wood elves going to be running around naked for that seven armor?
