The zombie horse is back

I was told last night by a source that I can see being ITK that the long rumoured deal for Fantasy Flight to rerelease BB was done and dusted with an ETA of 2014.
Take your fistfulls of salt and make of it what you will. With X wing flying off shelves its not quite as daft an idea as it used to be.

It has arisen from the grave.
Kill it with salt and holy water.
Silver is optional.
(love the idea, FF are a great company. but they aren't really a minis company, are they?)

That's funny, cause my Dad owns the Premier League and he told me him and his mates have bought Bloodbowl and are replacing English top flight football with tabletop BB for the coming season. Man Utd and Man City are vying to sign Jimmy and Joe in a transfer coupe that would eclipse Arsenal's bid to take over the ECBBL.
(YAWN!)

Even if FFG (great company BTW) is allowed to reprint Blood Bowl, GW will make sure to enforce some ridiculous limitations that are going to seriously impact the feeling of the game. For example limiting the playing pieces to only busts or something along those lines just so nobody would ever be able to use FFG minis in a game of Warhammer.
Furthermore, as much as I dislike GW's policies, they did do a great job with (most of) the BB minis. I have yet to see miniatures from FFG with that level of quality

Yep, they
did.

Personally I'm very impressed with the miniature range for Arkham Horror. I just wish I could afford them!
And I love lamp.

Thads personally locks the other thread and then starts a new one.
Outstanding!

As previously stated if FFG release BB as we know it, it will be miniature less or busts/counters. The GW FFG deal in place states no miniatures and I can't see that changing. Would be nice if it did change mind as the card game shoes a concept on par with the PC game which I like.

Personally I prefered Don-Vito's NASA/Cheese anology to his UK Premiership one, hey-ho
Edit: Jusst picked up what Burgan was talking about the last thread and this one.
Which then makes me ask how did I read a diffrent analogy from Don in this thread to the one now? Which was 2nd post then became third behind Nazgob?

Hmm, I just remembered that FFG also did Talisman. That game did include miniatures. How did they get around GW's restrictions for that one? By using generic characters instead of ones clearly taken from the Warhammer world?
If so, I hope that is not the way they would be going with Blood Bowl...
Edit: the same applies to Dungeonquest.

The irony is not lost on me. However, the last thread had descended into Rickrolls. That"s why it got locked.
I was merely amused that the dead horse is still loose in the wider world.

Maybe Gamezone can do it, now that they're not going to do Heroquest
(Hah, hah, hah!!!)

It's Gamezone's understanding that they already have permission to publish BB in Spain and distribute it worldwide. They understand this because they sent an email to GW customer services asking for permission and didn't get a reply straight away. That means it's being seriously considered, right?
The Kickstarter goes live next week.
