Where`s Edgar?

Guys, I just finished the last BB-book and I wondered where Edgar disappeared to, since he doesen`t show up in the BB-comicbooks. Did I miss something?

Maybe someone pointed out to the author that Humans can't have Treemen.

Hopefully the legendary Goblin Woodchipper was involved.

It's a very good question, so I asked Matt. This is his reply:

The comic was a license, so we had an approvals person from GW watching over us. While the Black Library was happy to give me lots of creative freedom, that wasn't so with the licensing department, especially since the computer game was in the works at the time. Edgar was sidelined because of that. I like to think he was off looking for pollination opportunities instead.

There is a mention early in the comic book stating they lost Edgar to a reproduction ritual.

Doh, didn`t see that. But then again, it`s been a while since I read the comicbook. Well, let`s just hope "lost to a reproduction ritual" means only something like "took some really deep roots" and not an unexpected death.
