Games Workshop doing AMA on Reddit, December 3rd
Hi Guys,
Games Workshop Licensees are apparently booked to do an AMA on Reddit on December 3rd, as indicated at this link.
For those not in the know, an AMA stands for "Ask Me Anything". It's effectively a crowd-sourced interview. Anyone can go online and post questions and the interviewee (in this case GW) will respond to questions. Reddit has an "upvote/downvote" system, so you can upvote good questions and they will rise to the top of the viewing format, making them get more attention and be more likely to get answers.
I know most people consider GW irrelevant to our hobby these days, so for those people this won't be very interesting. But for those people that would like to ask some questions of GW directly, this might be a chance to post interesting questions or upvote other good questions in the hopes of a response. If you're interested in participating, it'd be a good idea to make a reddit account prior to December 3rd and figure out how their site works!

As I understand, GW will create a topic on 3 december on reddit where we can ask them question. Am I right ?
In this case, It should be perhaps good to make a list of most important questions here. On 3 december a member of TFF, will take the chosen questions and ask them on http://fr.reddit.com/r/IAmA/.
Questions :
1. Will Blood bowl be reedited ?
2. If it's the case, will it be like dreadfleet an all-in-one box ?
2. In general, what is the future of specialist games
3....

Why should we support you when your business policy is based on screwing your customer base?

A goog one to finish the interviewHeff wrote:Why should we support you when your business policy is based on screwing your customer base ?

In fact, I have one question more:
5. If blood bowl is reedited, will it stick to lrb6 ? Seriously GW don't mess up the rules or the community will be forever split between old and new rules. (even if you don't care)

You realise the childish ragefests will be at best dismissed with cursory replies? Most likely ignored.
This is a genuine chance to get some valid questions answers, don't dick it up acting like kids - get some decent questions in, get TFF behind them and perhaps some of the nonsense rumour threads can finally be put to bed!
Good to see they are doing it, wonder what's prompted it? Perhaps Tom Kirby just got the internet

That reminds me; Thads locked the large rumor thread the other day, much to my dismay. I need to put starting a new one on my "To Do" list while I'm off for the holiday.

hopeful_deluded_BB_player: Any news on plans for Blood bowl?
GW lackey: yes, we've got lots of exciting Blood Angels coming out soon!
hopeful_deluded_BB_player: I said blood BOWL...
GW lackey: buy more Space Marines! Next question?
I'd be surprised if this isn't 90% 40K players complaining that their space marines are less powerful than the new space marines (answer: buy some new space marines!), 9.9% WFB players complaining that their dark elves are not as powerful as the new lizardmen (or whatever!. Answer: buy some space marines! And new lizardmen), and then the Hobbit player asking if there are going to be any new releases this year. Anything around specialist games will probably be ignored, such has been the GW way for the last few years. I'd imagine the BB community is tiny compared to 40K in terms of interweb rage as well as GW buying power...

Bear in mind this is GW licencees, not GW. So I'm expecting it will be FFG, Cyanide, various other video game companies (not sure who makes the other GW video games), etc.Indigo wrote:You realise the childish ragefests will be at best dismissed with cursory replies? Most likely ignored.

Re: Games Workshop doing AMA on Reddit, December 3rd
I clicked through and registered, looks like it's Cyanide there. I hope it's not just about Blood Bowl Star Coach as that blog seems to suggest.
But indeed, licensees, not Games Workshop so all your actual Blood Bowl boardgame questions can be thrown out the window. Ask your questions about the PC/console game.
I've got one: Did anyone make money of the DS release of Blood Bowl?
That would anger me very much. It's almost criminally bad.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
