passing it on, part 2

i've been teaching some local D&D players blood bowl. i wrote about it on marry mayhem, for those interested.
in a nut shell, a new hobby shop opened up about 7 miles away and i offered to teach the game. the guys jumped on the offer and everything is going well.
one of the kids(14 years old) was really into the game, but he had no funds to buy into the game. he did'nt even have a computer.
so i decided to help him along. my wife painted a spare plastic 3rd ed orc team for him, i printed a copy of the rules, hooked him up with a set of dice, and gave him a felt pitch(my wife made about 20 felt pitches for our tourney).
the kid is very good with those orcs. last night, i made a chaos team and lost to his orcs(he calls them "damage inc.") in a 3-2 nail biter.

Sir you aren't just a Blood Bowl hero but a hero in general. Not many people would have given their own minis and pitch + dice to someone who wanted/needed them.

Your awesomeness has gone up +1 on the scale

well, do i really need 60+ block dice, ? and the felt pitch was made by my wife for our tourney. still, it feels good to give something.
we have to teach the next batch of blood bowlers, right?

Yet another GREAT reasonjust to travel an extra few hours to go to his tourney in October
For those 100's of you who haven't look there is 7-8 states and a ton of cities within a few hours. Virginia group? Harrisberg who is gonna represent for his great cause?

.....if you don't win, coming 4th brings to own rewards!!

Charity tournaments like this are few & far between, the community needs to support them wherever possible.

Ill see what the Brits can send in support of this worthy event.

Someone around there needs to run a holiday tourney as I am usually near DC with the in-laws then. :P

you guys are too kind. and for the record, MIKE WAS THE HERO. he tried to flank an automatic weapon to take pressure off his men. mikes wife, steph, let me read 2 letters from 2 guys mike served with.
HERO IS'NT A BIG ENOUGH WORD. i miss him everyday.
