NAF Website
The new section of the NAF website is now live, and here is a message from Lycos to introduce it:
---
From Lycos (NAF President)
Today the NAF will be launching a new addition to our web presence. The current website needs to be transformed but this will be a gradual process and therefore we will be going through a period of change. The launch of this first stage by Mepmuff will include content that is available to everyone alongside members being able to log in as normal to get to forums, rankings and information that comes with being a NAF member.
The new Wordpress overlay will enable us to display lots of information, pictures, links and more besides that are too complicated to manage from the existing site. Over time we will move away from the existing platform piece by piece until we are on a completely different system. As this is a work in progress operation, your feedback is most welcome. What you see today may look different tomorrow as we will be looking to make improvements and changes on a constant basis.
There are always going to be different opinions on how things are displayed, how they could be changed, so please ensure any comments are polite and productive. We don’t mind if you don’t like what you see, or how it is displayed, just please pass on your thoughts and ideas in a constructive manner.
This is an exciting time for us. Change will bring challenges for us to overcome and we will be looking to do this with the input of members.
Lastly, my thanks to the team for delivering this and future changes. Without their hard work and precious time, none of this happens.
---
(back to me)
Hopefully this new section is a step closer to the original vision for the NAF, which was to be a central resource for Blood Bowl coaches the world over. We have incorporated a load of fantastic suggestions that people had, but that should just be the starting point as the new site has the flexibility to keep growing and responding to ideas.
As a starting point, the new site makes finding tournament information a lot easier and prettier, with an integrated map and the ability to sign up for tournaments through the site. Articles can be added regularly with pictures, and searched for relevance. The NAF FAQ has been updated, along with a Rules Clarification section that is waiting for you to contribute. Where excellent content already exists, links have been put on rather than reproducing the information.
This is however just the start, with plans afoot for a greater league focus, improved tournament reporting (winners etc), non-English sections and much more.
The original website is still there, and is now called the Members Area, and can be accessed through thenaf.net or directly through member.thenaf.net. The new overlay replaces sections such as the old FAQ and Library, and these will eventually be archived. The forum is still active, and we would encourage you to use it to give feedback on the new site.
Thank you for reading, though frankly I'm surprised you're still here, and haven't already headed to thenaf.net to check it out!

Look forward to it.
Really should be on the NAF homepage at least though.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Re: New NAF Website
Looking forward to it.
Thanks to our elected officials for instigating this change and delivering on their election promises with the minimum of fuss. Thanks for the people they asked to help for giving up their time to make the commitee's vision a reality.
