House rule for Undead/Necromantic/recruiting opp dead player
Hi everyone,
I am just getting back into BB after a very long hiatus. I have played an occasional game here and there but I haven't run a league since 1996...
Anyways - do most leagues use a house rule where an Undead or Necromantic coach can recruit a "lineman" after a kill on your opponents team (must be about human size or smaller to do this).
Cheers,
Michael

I think it's even in the rulebook that the Undead / Necro coach can add a zombie to his roster after a kill has been made ...
so yes!
and if it's not there, what's more fun than getting pummeled by your former teammember?

No need for house rules.
Rule book, page 17, 2nd column, 3rd paragraph wrote:Instead of purchasing an Apothecary, Necromantic and Undead
teams use the services of a Necromancer. The Necromancer is
free to the team and allows the team once per a match to !Raise
the Dead". If a player on the opposing team with Strength 4 or
less that does not have Regeneration or Stunty is killed during
the match (after Apothecary attempt if any) then the team may
immediately place a new Zombie player in the Reserves box of
their dugout (this may cause a team to have more than 16
players for the remainder of the match). During Step 5 of
Updating Your Team Roster (see page 29), you may add this
player to your roster for free if you have less than 16 players on
the team. A free Zombie still counts at full value towards the
team value.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Thanks everyone - I thought I remembered reading that in the LRB but looked and looked and couldn't find it.
Perhaps a sub-heading, perhaps "Special Rules for Necromantic/Undead Apothecaries" would be a good idea on the next update...?
Cheers,
Michael

Yikes... is the pile on coming my way...? Oh well - it's all good.
I am not totally oblivious to GW legal BS... nothing on that front has changed (except perhaps it getting worse instead of better)...
Also, I think I can site many "official" sources (circa 2002/3 blood bowl annuals, magazine, etc) with the big Kahuna, JJ, quoting their will always be an annual rules update, that we will support our player base, and that Blood Bowl will always remain in print.. lol

Yeah, they lied
.
GW has said that this issue of LRB is the last one, and there will be no further updates.
