League posters/fliers?
Hey peeps
Anyone had any joy with using posters/fliers for recruiting to your league? Care to share examples and experiences? I'm looking at drafting something to stick in our local game and model shops and would value ideas on what does and doesn't work.
I also wondered if there was a good way to get the message out to any cyanide online coaches who might not be aware of the TT leagueslocally.
Secondary question: has anyone any experience of GW's policy for putting posters up in their stores? We're not playing at a GW venue but we are playing CRP.
Cheers in advance!

A lot. Is your club a GCN member? If not then officially you will not be able to put up posters for anything. Of course if your local GW manager is not adverse to it, and willing to risk his area manager's wrath, then he may let you put up a poster.Shteve0 wrote:Secondary question: has anyone any experience of GW's policy for putting posters up in their stores? I use fliers for the tournies I run and word of mouth for the league.Shteve0 wrote:Anyone had any joy with using posters/fliers for recruiting to your league? Care to share examples and experiences? TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

Isn't the GCN UK only?
[Edit] Yep: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... tid=938568

Your best bet is to ask in your local GW store, as they may have different rules from country to country. When I asked my local store (admittedly 3 or 4 years ago now) they wouldn't display any posters outside their official (local) club for any game, let alone BB.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

When I was in Auckland, the GW store(s) sometimes (more often than not) took and distributed our A5 fliers. It depended on the store manager, I think. You needed to keep checking on them, though.
We are very fortunate here in Christchurch, in that we have only 2 clubs, which are likely to be found by any tabletop gamer.
All the best.
