I'm moving to a city/area with a league.

Post by huff »

After I finish up this bachelors and graduate, I'm moving to an area that has a solid league and tournament scene in place. I'm thinking either mid-west or Northwest (should be interesting for a 49er fan).

In the mean time: Any leagues or even other players in the California Central Valley? I'm talkin from Fresno to Sacramento.

I like how "solid league and tournament scene in place" is your main criteria in deciding where to live your life after college. You are my new hero! :D

Do I wish it were this easy for everyone or do I wish there was a "solid league and tournament scene in place" everywhere?

Kidding of course but best of luck! If you find yourself near Iowa, look us up!

Calgary Canada has about 20 coaches in our league, Vancouver area was saying anywhere from 15-30 people.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Ha... If it comes to it, Europe may be the answer. Anywhere will do really as long as there's alcohol, woman and Blood Bowl. SoCal or Seattle is highly more plausible and as I frequent both places often and have ties in both. Iowa/Mid-West would be the biggest jump and also the most rewarding given the shear number of players in the area.

How is your league in SoCal Shaman?

Ha. I totally agree with the sediment. I learned at an early age to keep Blood Bowl and anything related separate and secret.

Right, I dont normally do this, but I've read 3 threads today and two of them use the word ''sediment''

Its meant to be ''sentiment'' no?!

Like I say normally I dont care about what people write, but for some reason this has bugged me! :D

LIES!!!

Vancouver is fielding 40+ coaches, and as many as 48 in 1 season @ Thunderbowl. They also host the Spike! Tournament

Seattle/Everett has about 10-14 person league currently, with tons of extra guys on the sidelines.

The NW Scene is pretty active. In Seattle, the www.ratcityrumble.com guys have a pretty mature league with over 20 coaches last season. I run a league in Everett at www.everett-bbl.org . We had 10 coaches in our first season and are getting ready for our second. In Vancouver BC is www.thunderbowl.ca, they run Spike and are fun. There is also a Portland scene (Ordo) and an eastern Washington group.
