i'm a member over on theminiaturespage, and we just had a scifi exchange. thought we could see if anyone was interested in doing a bb/ff exchange.
heres how it works: all members who want to join in, sends in their name to the orginiser. they are randomly matched with another member, and they send that person 1 painted figure. could be any figure they want to give.
we exchanged 15mm scifi items. it was pretty fun. what do you think?

I've seen this done before at Christmas on another site. Majority of it worked well and was good fun. A problem I see to an extent is how to get around team colours...

1. Just ignore that as its just for fun, a random figure, a random paint job
2. Sideline only figures/starplayers? So less emphasis on colours?
3. Can't think of a 3.

Personally I'm well up for this, just for fun (so using 1.- you can always use it as a star player/player forgot his kit/player packed his school kit by mistake)!! Count me in if this goes ahead.

sorta just a member friendship kinda thing. would'nt really matter what color kit you painted on.

I did this a couple of times on a small site devoted to the Dwarf Slayer army. It was pretty good fun, though we opened it up to any model so I got a wonderfully painted Cadian standard bearer and an Evesor assassin.

Some prefer to have free reign in what they paint whilst others will consult with their swapee and paint up a model tailored to them. For one of mine I did an army standard bearer using the colours and symbol of his hold whilst the other got a Word Bearer’s sorcerer (was bored of painting orange and dwarf flesh after making a 150 strong slayer army).

we need a date to ship by, and someone to organize it(do the matchs, email where the members ship the figures, etc) anyone?
if no one wants to be bothered, i can run it. i'm off work with a back injury, so i have time aplenty. but if one of you lot want to, you can.
any "ship by" date? also, i vote for "whatever", as to what a member wants to paint/exchange. everyone ok with that? this way its whatever someone can spare/has doubles of.

I would be interested, did a couple of those on the Reaper forums a while back.

that is so funny! heffs been pm'ing me(very kindly) and asking how i'm feeling after my injury. i was gonna send him a willy dwarf cheerleader as thanks!

I'll happily help in any way I can but am happy for 'bound for glory' to deal with the admin if he wants.

how about we keep it to bb/ff figures? i do ww2, acw and gruntz(scifi) in 15mm, and i don't know that anyone here would be into that scale. but thats just me.

This all sounds good. Bfg if you're happy to sort admin, that would be good by me! I agree with bb/ff/sideline figures unless I guess if the pair discuss between themselves specifically?
