I went to the Lutece Cup in France recently and a lot of the guys had vinyl boards 3-4 mm thick thet you can just roll up with several amazing designs on.

I'm trying to source the details of these, but thought maybe a brit with some experience would be able to point me in the right direction...

They are for the thrudball tournament, a not-for-profit thrud-the-barbarian themed charity BB tourny in aid of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation(ten grand raised in five years!) organised by GCN club BRGA.

We're hopeing to run about 100-200 of them, the indomitable Matt Dixon's allowing us to use one of his amazing Babe pics as a backdrop ...see http://www.mattdixon.co.uk *oops! :o if you've not had the pleasure (his sketch of the Type Oh! beauty subsequently modelled by Impact Miniatures is my personal favorite, for two large reasons...:o ) ...don't drool on your keyboard though!

If anyone can help please PM me, I'm Giraffe!!!
Thrudtastic!!

Somehow.... I don't think that is the right website? Unless the Babe is built like the proverbial Brick $hit House?

Am I right in thinking you are looking to sell these?

As a limited edition merchandise of 100-200 only, where Matt Dixon has a signed Transfer of Rights agreement in place to protect his artwork ... yes...

...Plus I'm hoping to get these as near to cost as possible, if I can find a sympathetic supplier, as then whatever we sell them for above cost raises funds directly for Roy Castle...I finance it and so run the risk of having lots of inappropriate wallpaper, but the wife's been nagging me to redecorate the bedroom anyway... :D

...we do this each year with limited runs of thrudshirts and occasionally other merchandise (such as Red Thrud Block dice this year)...

...check out the thrudball acrhive menu, merchandise submenu for the complete history ...

depending on the price and what you end up with, you may be able to "unload" your surplus here, for those of us UK challenged.

I've thought about making my own using painter's canvas and latex caulking (not high on my list but it's on the list). It'd be easy to make both a outdoor, grassy one and a stoney, indoor, dungeon bowl one.

oh, and a little trick not covered by the tutorial. To get nice straight lines for the edges of the field etc, you can use automotive pin striping tape (very thin & strong). You can place it on the mat, place the caulk, then pull up the tape before the caulk dries.

thank you everyone, seems like FF-Fields is my best shot, a chap called Alex has sent an initial reply and I've asked him if he will be willing to prepare a Not-For-Profit / Reduced-Margin-Profit costing ...so hopefully these will make money for the charity(Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, BTW)

Matt Dixon should hopefully have finished customising one of his GORGEOUS artworks (I'll not spoil the surprise yet by saying which one, but please speculate if you know his work), and providing Tom Brown is still willing to "Bloodbowlboardize" it I reckon we should achieve a SUPERB Board-cum(no pun intended)-pin-up-poster for thrudball.

As soon as we're confirmed I'll get a link on the thrudball menu bar Home section that says thrudboard 2011 to take advanced orders...

2 of the BRGA guys have already paid £30 each, just to ensure they get their board! Mind you, they have had a sneak peek at the art over my shoulder (I had it on my laptop at our GCN Club Last night...despite my "BUGGER OFF, THIS IS TOP SECRET" comments they seemed inexoribly drawn)...their initial comment was "imagine starting every Bloodbowl game with "which end do you want, Legs or head" :D ...
Thrudtastic!!!

My speculation is this excellent image with an apothecary blood bowl twist!
